He's absolutely right. People aren't loyal to bands anymore because they are all so overexposed that you get sick of them after a few months. The songs all sound the same to me, and most of them are short lived, or one hit wonders. When you go to a Matt Nathanson show, it's small and intimate, and you know he's just as happy to be there as you are. It's like hanging out with an old friend, and that's why everyone loves him so much.
this is awesome! i think it's pretty funny that they asked his opinion, b/c as much as we all know i love him, i'm not sure he's really the prevailing music industry/economy expert :-) also really funny that they had him juxtaposed with videos of justin timberlake the whole time, as if they're the same kind of act or something haha... not really sure what their thought process was for this whole thing, but i'm really excited that it got him on national tv!!
