To be completely honest, Riots just show black people taking out their misguided anger against whites on Koreans. Because blacks knew Koreans were weaker than whites in the society, they took advantage of that. Plus, Koreans were convenient targets in that they were there in South Central. Koreans opened shops in Black neighborhoods because nobody wanted to set up business in black neighborhoods after riots that kicked out a lot of Jewish merchants in 60s.

A few months earlier, a korean store owner killed young La tasha Harlins, over a bottle of orange juice.She shot her in the back of the head, even though Latasha put the money on counter,she accused her of stealing.Store owner got probation. We were still mad about that. I was there. Before the riots, the korean merchants treated black patrons badly. They cheated us, called us names, and were very rude.We had enough.
