The media is really hyping this as totally anarchy. A couple of windows and mailboxes. And those that did it seemed pretty young and not there for the same reasons as the other protesters. what clued me in was ALL the vandals that citizens attempted to grab squirmed and ran. If I had seen a store getting smashed and stopped one the chances of reverse charges is high on citizen detention so sometimes a huge mistake.

In Europe the more sophisticated protesters actually invest in props and do street art that scares the crap out of onlookers. This is children running wild, or paid/funded troublemakers running around and not enough of a threat to stop asap, lucky for them no one took them seriously and gave them space. The public tried grabbing them which is Canadian nature for sure,
