Also known as the double four-in-hand.

You can vary it by ending with going through either both loops, as in this video, or just the outer one. Personally I prefer going through just the outer loop, but it's down to preference. :)

It seems that there is something wrong with how you tied it. I might get choked with it, try to loosen the knot a little. Also, modify some of the steps so that the final knot would, at least, be symmetrical.

You tied the prince albert knot wrong. you were only supposed to go through the outer "loop" that you created....you went through both loops...the info that you provided that gives the steps is right...it says to only go through the outer loop...
