The reason women can't join the SEAL teams isn't really a discrimination thing, it's just a biological thing. Men naturally have more testosterone (what builds muscle etc.) so basically if I worked out for a month exactly the same as a women and we were both perfectly health I would build more muscle and very likely be stronger.

Where I am from, 25 degrees or more is considered t-shirt warm. I'm used to anywhere from -17 to 13 degrees everyday during the winter. I just enlisted as HM with SEALs as a condition. It's been years of training, but I am finally where I need to be.
Dont forget they almost rarely work in cold weather besides the ocean obviously but your gonna have to suffer through the grueling afternoon beach PT which it can get up to 110 degrees and if you live in 25 degrees weather you need to be sure you do not get heat strokes and you need to start training in hotter weather as well as cold just a tip!! haha

HM is really hard to get into right now. So I am currently enlisted as Nuke, until I can take my PST and hopefully reclassify as SEALs.

I had a friend who pre-qualified for basic-SEAL school, not the regular Navy basic training, passed but a week before he was to go to BUDS, he re-injured his reconstructed knee from H.S. soccer injury. It tore his up after training for 2 yrs & being that close. Just be mentally ready

i think everyone should have to serve a term in the military. people nowadays were born into freedom, and have no respect for those who fought, and those who continue to fight for it. from a sailor currently deployed to Japan, and special warfare dropout who plans to go back. Hooyah, brave warriors!

@7vgitz Fuck no! I was in the Navy Aircrew program. Everybody should not join! They come in bootcamp fucking everything up for everybody else. Many of them have less respect when they see all the bullshit. Some people don't have respect for anything or anyone. I enjoyed my stint doesn't mean everybody else will. There's a reason the draft was discontinued in the late 60's.

@7vgitz I strongly disagree, its the CHOICE to serve in the military that seperates servicemembers from regular civilians. Its what we respect so much about them.Theyre doing something that we would never choose to do. Sides, if every American had to serve a term, half our military would be a bunch of whiny liberals.The suicide statistics would be insane and it would be an awful experience for those who willingly commit to the experience.Your opinion is a horrible one sir. I want to earn my right to call myself an American, and when other generations asked me what I did i can say that i served, everyone should serve whether it is just 4 years as a reservist, just get out and serve, you will become fit and stronger mentally, and this country will thank you for it.

@7vgitz I don't think they should be required to serve in the military. Thats what makes military men and women special and this is or supposed to be a free country after all. But I do thin they should like have drill instructors for p.e. at every highschool and have kids routinely do military rank exercise/work.

@randeDANDE somewhat. Not at the beginning at all. The instructors are dicks just like they should be, but it is not the marine corps. Once you get into the third phase and especially sqt, the instructors become more like mentors. By that time, you are there to learn, and they are there to teach. But at the beginning, they are trying to weed out the weak.

lol sports help but if you want to get closes you can get to this join the ROTC Ranger team. My AI was a Ranger in Vietnam, 1st SGT Jimmy Akuna(specialist in Vietnam) and he runs us hard. some of the foot ball guys cant even last a day. This as also why we love the 1st SGT so much. Not mercy for the weak.

@Protein925 uhm actually if you knew anything about SEALs the people that make it are the ones who are team players and who can endure the mental toughness the training is 90% mental and 10% physical...that other 10% is just as bad but its only if you have the mental toughness that you can do the other 10% of PT....just sayin...and you could be training to become a SEAL and not do any sports in high school and still make it...soooo yea...
