Dragon Age sequel is to the original game almost the same shit as the original game's console port was to the PC version. Seriously, Xbox 360 version of the DA 1 was a pale shadow of what the game was on PC. That's actually the key to the problem. With the second installment BioWare decided to make a more simplified, more console version, dumping all the PC RPG roots on the spot. Now all the versions are basically the same across three platforms (graphics aside). Consoles are to blame.
@NeverwinterMoon As I understand, you've played the original on X360 just as well. If you have any respect for the game, you should definitely check out the PC rendition. The difference is major. Console version was just a castrated PC version, in a nutshell. I'm not one of those PC elitists, far from it, my PC is a three-year-old piece of crap, but some games just should be played on computer and not a console.
The day I bought DA2 I took it home, put it on and played it until met "Flemeth". I literally couldn't take it anymore. I took it out, put Origins back in and re-beat the whole game as a different class, no joke. The only good thing about DA2 is that it makes me appreciate the epic game that Origins is.
@terracottaguy what is with the complacency in gamers these days. put your feet down and say something sucks if it sucks. that's the only way the crap will go away and we can have ourselves a fine reset, just like the american movie industry needs.
@AshleyBaxter87 Although I think that guys feedback could have been a little more constructive I agree. When I'm editing I always go back and test the volume loud and quite, on speakers and headphones. Pain in the bum but it really makes a difference in the final product.

On its own, Dragon Age 2 was not a bad game, mediocre,yes.
