  • Good man Scott. Today is Clean Monday before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent, so from today no booze or ciggies and thanks to you an easy work out before I get to the gym in ten days time, hopefully not looking like the paunchy slack 46 year old I am. Good luck to all going for self improvement and sacrifice this Lent. Jesus saves but you have to do the ground work yourself ! Increase the Peace }¬)

  • Just discovered this video. This is great - anyone any age can do this. Thanks.

  • 14 people who got cacthed by their moms while doing this in front of the mirror (naked) !!

  • thanx!! i feel the burn!!

  • how much do i need to weight to workout and get big muscles?

    im 56 KG

    and im 13

  • thanks man:D your the first good video ive seen in months

  • why that gym is allways empty

  • for those who are wondering what is the point of this video, well when people mostly use weights they basically just lift the weight without targeting the muscle they want and sometimes wondering why isnt my muscle being toned by now?well this video will help target those muscles you want to build by teaching you how to flex that specific muscle and to familiarize yourself on how it supposed to feel, so when you use weights you'll know that your doing it correctly

  • @L96A1oOoRape You are straining your muscles which will create the tears, like any other workout with weights, that will build muscle and judging from your name you obviously know alot about working out

  • my sience teacher said this is stupid u are only flexing their is no oposition force so are not forcing dumb ass

  • @L96A1oOoRape Your science teacher is a dumbass bro. He's probably a 130 pound nerd that has never seen a barbell.

  • can I do this as a warm up to the workout?

  • thank you for being so coool about this video bro its so hard to find good back workouts:) thanks man

  • dude that's the best exersises ive seen without weights

  • when it should be used? before or after training?

  • Thanks for demonstrating that technique! I never tried the contraction exercise before.

Does this help flex your muscle easier?

  • what is this going to benifit me ?

  • This comment is probably long overdue but I got distracted at 8:17. BEST package I've seen in ever!

  • Does this tone your muscle or make if bigger??

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO!

  • first I dont believe this until I do this

  • scott, how tall are you?

  • @LeslieT223 I think he's 7'3

  • @ChildrenofSodom no way, not thaat tall

  • @LeslieT223 Probably like 5'10-6'

  • this looks great for warmups

  • Excellent routine! I do jogging three times a week and I just started with some of your exercises. They feel great. Thanks for posting!

  • does it build size or only tone? and which would be better for building size quickly - this or heavy weights like some of your other videos?

  • @mozarttheartist prob just toning, if you want bigger muscles, lift weights

  • Beens as you never have your top on, your not very tanned lol

  • Just wondering, is it best to do the whole body at once, or like strength training to isolate different muscles on different days - like Triceps and Quadriceps on one day, and back and biceps on another day etc....

What is public opinion? I would love to know. I will start this in the morning :) with a 4 minute cardio session. I will try isolating for now, but was curious as to what the best results were. XD Scott you are awesome!!!

  • This works!!! Thats so awsome!!!!! Kudos to Scott!!

  • Okay, just did one circuit of this, and it's WONDERFUL! Thank you for posting this, especially since I've just coming out of recovery from injury, and this really is a wonderful, strengthening routine.

  • This is great! Where did you get the idea from? It feels like a fusion of bodybuilding poses and tai chi.

  • Will this only maintain your fitness, or will it make you stronger and/or bigger as well?

  • Oh my god....I just did this. Only did a minute each exercise, maybe two or three on the first few moves....but I am beat. Dripping with sweat. THANKS!

  • great creativity, and effectiveness is done with effort... thx... but I guess is not a sustitute routine to regular weights... I beleive is just for "emergencies" or special ocasions when you cant go to the gym... isn't it?

  • @14.21 nice body!

  • does this work??? looks kinda silly

  • thank you very much! my body is aching now. LOL

  • this stuff works thank you scott

  • Hi Scott, thank you for this workout. I am wondering how frequent should i do this workout. Daily or Once every 2 days or longer break in between? Thanks heaps.

  • amazing your videos kick they crap out of me everytime i try a new one haha definately a favorite

  • Scott, hi typing this from Chile, south america, and got a question. why use weights then if you can do this? is there any reason to prefer weights instead of contractions.. looking forward to hearing form you!

  • scott you the man

  • good for pump

  • he speak allot

  • i wonder what the guy filming this is feeling

    gay? intimidated? motivated? jealous?

  • what if you cant flex all of those mucles as good as u?

  • is this for strength or muscle building? I get it works, but am i gonna build muscle?

  • When are you going to post your mid-chest video?

  • You have a lot of videos about resistance training and meal plans, but I and I am sure many others could really use some help with cardio and stamina. I jog regularly, but it doesn't do anything for my stamina anymore. Do you have any tips for improving stamina/endurance?

    Thanks!

  • i did this during in my class when i was bored in school. and it works haha

  • can someone please tell me what the point of this is and how often should you do it

  • why you gotta pop a vein when you talk lol?

  • I had to do this form of exercise during physical therapy when I had a neck/spine injury and couldn't lift weights or do most forms of calisthenic exercise. I actually gained 15 lbs. (130 lbs - 145 lbs.) just doing this and it burned and it was exhausting! I still do it and I still use it even though I have recovered fully, because it just had such awesome results for me and you can do it anywhere.

  • scott you have risen above the title of beast lol

  • You are so helpful person :) I subbed and fav'd :)

  • @Teqo7 thank you for the kind words :)

  • So... This is basically doing a normal weight training workout but instead of using weights you flex as hard as you can. Not knocking it or anything, that is just what it seems from your video, might have to give it a try.

  • @nucleardeath07 thats exactly what it is :) Give it a try! :) You will like it!

  • @nucleardeath07 Many people enjoy listening to music with a good beat to it when they do these flex workouts. Makes it a bit more fun and you can pace yourself with the beat :)

  • this is awesome! Why have 13 people disliked this video!

  • what does this workout do anyway? help tone?

  • this actually works? I'm tempted to try it. Is this a 15 minute workout? And does this build muscle or tone muscle?

  • this actually works? I'm tempted to try it. Is this a 15 minute workout?

  • i confused at the point of just flexing...

  • @itsgeraldt try it!!! try it!! try it!! :)

  • Scott, do you have a video describing your personal weekly workout schedule?

  • @brentcox i have it listed in the info section of the facebook page :) 0:12

  • Really enjoyed that man, felt the burn after a few circuits!

  • Hey Scott, I'd like to have your opinion on those ab machines like the "Perfect Sit-Up" etc. Would those be effective?

  • 'so what you going to do' u sound kinda funny when u say that, and in every vid u say the same way, lol 0:50. I am british may b thats y i find kinda weird.

Oh yeah more importantly the workout is great.

  • Holy shit, to be honest, at first I didn't think it would work...now I feel every single muscle and even some of which I didn't even know they exist...greetz from germany

  • @JanusUrlaub awesome!!! glad you liked it!! :)

  • Awesome info!

  • Your intro sounds like dora.. haha :)

  • scott you do a lot of weighted crunches right? cause your abs are kinda wide and thick and you waist looks bigger.

  • Thank u soo much for ur guidance, u r doing a lot for us! :)

  • man thats great..you're my hero :)

  • one of your best videos!! :-)

  • 2:48..if you wanna squeeze other body parts thats fine! wahahahaha!

  • Scott, i don't understand this workout. How will flexing make you're muscles bigger?

I know that flexing can make your muscles stronger like if you went all day flexing your abs, you would get better abs. But is this actually a "good workout" compared to do pushups etc. ? :)

  • @MarcusHitsoy it wont make your muscles bigger. They give you a pump and endurance. Good way to stop yourself from loosing muscle when your injured.

If you want abs loose the weight. It is good to contract your abs constantly since it helps support your lower back and keeps an upright posture.

No it is no where near as good as pushups with reps and sets etc... This will only give you a pump, which doesnt have anything to do with muscle growth. It just means high reps and lots of blood.

  • The best exercise routine so far

  • @titusfeliciano91 Glad you enjoyed it!! :)

  • Hello dude

    I love your channel

I'm 15 and My parents doesn't allow me to lift weights as it stops height

I just got an IRON GYM

Please tel me some workouts (NO WEIGHTS) which will give quick results for my tricpes, abs and arms + shoulders

    Thankyou

  • @StoneageTech search for my IRON GYM workout! I made one :)

  • @ScottHermanFitness

    Dude does that really work

and if I do it reguarly

when will it give me results?

I also want to get veiny arms :)

    Im glad you replied :)

  • @StoneageTech Lifting weights dosent stunt growth, 15 is a good age to start weight training, aslong as you use good form. Get you parents to research this

  • @justforbodybuilding

    Dude Ive tried everythng

    They just dont understand

Please tell me any exercises that work but they dont require weights :)

  • @StoneageTech pull ups and push ups!

  • @StoneageTech lifting doesn't stunt your growth... this is bullshit beyond measure

  • @StoneageTech Weight lifting does not stunt growth that is a myth, when will people learn.

  • @Excelion333

my dad has low height because he started weight lifting in teenage

  • @StoneageTech training with weights only stunts your growth if you start training with too heavy weights and incorrect form. I started lifting (sensibly) at 13 and I am nearly 6'3"!

  • @rikrodgers

    Dude I have 2kg weights

    will they build something?

    Lol

  • @rikrodgers dude lifting weights does not stunt growth, its the asian kids who are 9 years old squating and deadlifting 3x there weight that are putting too much stress on there growth plates and bones which can cause a stunt or so i heard, either way we both could be right

  • @StoneageTech No your dad is short becuase his genetics made him that way.

  • @Excelion333

    Will his genetics effect me?

    and I have 2kg weights

    Can they help me?

  • @StoneageTech You get your genetics from both sides of your family you can not control how tall you will get and 2kg=4 lbs no that amount of weight won't help you you need to start at about 15-20 lbs and work your way up remember to grow you need to stress the muscle 4lbs is not enough of a stressor.

  • @Excelion333 Dude thanks for ur kind information :) Btw dude I guess 2kg shld do anything 2 dumbells of 2 kg If i lift both dumbells in one hand it would be 4kg :) Then id lift it And if this is not possible then tell me some other exercise that 2kg dumbell can do for me?
  • @StoneageTech Well to make your muscles grow you need to make the muscle fail in about 8-12 reps meaning after those reps you can't lift it again until you rest for a minute and even putting them together the weight is still to light for that, maybe over head tricep extentions if you put both together but you would probably still get into the 30-40 rep range that could help tone but not build.

  • @Excelion333

    :)

    Can u explain that dude

    I mean

Ok i knw I cant build muscle

    but I wanna tone

so dude please explain me what are you saying

    Im not getting it?

What should I do with those weights?

  • @StoneageTech Toning is when you burn away fat making the shape of the muscles show better what should you do with those weights well if all you want to do is tone up then use them 3-4 sets of as many reps as you can do with each muscle group is a good place to start, when the day comes where you want to grow and get bigger then you can get bigger weights. Hope that helps.

  • @Excelion333 Dude you know what you're awesome :) you and Scott are the best Ok dude now I have the weights Can u give me the link of the video that how to use them because Im a begginer and what workouts should I do with them and giving a shape to those muscles! Will they make the muscles look good - shaped? :) and is 25 reps with each hand is fine? total of 50 reps then Ill take a break and do 2 more sets :) Please reply and also tell about forearms and pumping veins
  • @StoneageTech You can find vids all over youtube just type in any workout you want to learn just don't watch expertvillage they are not very good a lot of bad info anything more than 12 reps is good for shaping, forearm pumping veins are not so much made by exercising but by reducing your body fat that will make the veins show and sugar will pump them up a bit for a short periode good for bodybuilding shows if you go backstage just before the guys go on stage you will see everyone eating candy.

  • @Excelion333

Thankyou for your kind information :)

Ill contact u next time I need help.. please accept my frnd request on youtube

  • this ones are for veeeeery beginners right?

  • @irvykinneas its for anyone... try it! it will DESTROY YOU!

  • what are the benefits of this workout scott?

  • Scott how much do you squat?

  • 8:18 boner

  • Nice quads!!

  • Great video :)

Do these exercises tear the muscle at all or is it more about pumping blood into the muscle? Would this be something good to do between lifting weights?

  • scott i cant log in on your site but could you please give me some stuff i could eat too get muscles, i dont wanne take any supplements so i nead some advice ,can you help me please........you rock :)

  • scott i don't want too take supplements but i do wanne get more muscles ,what should i eat ore drink 'cause i've been on your site butt i have a prob with login in , please help me it would be awesome.

  • i wonder how many people came here to follow this workout, or just to watch you flex

  • Awesome exercises ! It's good for warm-up before playing sports too. I think. ))

  • my dad acualy showed me these about a year ago i didnt think it would work but i did it as well as the gym and it helped me when i did heavy wieghts to force the wieght up

  • Awesome muscles my friend!!!!

  • I think you should put more emphasis on legs...

  • Oh wow, some veiny arms you have there

  • Hey Scott, me and my friend have been working out for a while and neglected abs, we are gonna have a contest to who is first to a 6 pack, do you think the ab routine once a day would help tighten up my core?

  • @Cold1Forged a tip i can give you is to slim down and to only do abs once every 3- 4 days they need rest just like every musle group, do 100 situps max to bulk up ur abs but do crunched and various core exercises to sip em up xD

  • @jovicakluk I already have low bf, just never worked on my abs so it's a baby 4 pack right now lol, problem is I find working on abs boring as fuck (weighted exercises), so I just don't do them, this is kinda fun though, so much blood pumps through you by the end, so I'm gonna continue it.

  • @Cold1Forged dude, whatever routine you adopt will do that. the magnitude and speed of the results depends on how hard you work each time, how well you eat, recovery time and your perseverance. You can generally work on your abs every day, but if you're a beginner I'd give it 1-2 days rest in the beginning (assuming you "tear them apart" each time) and after a couple o'weeks start working sometimes 2 days in a row, 1 day rest, etc. ----> read on in next thread

  • @rabinow111 My diet is good, and I'm not a beginner, and thanks for the advice but you didn't really answer my question (minus the first thing you said lol)

  • @Cold1Forged continuation from previous thread - and just go on by the feeling (if your abs haven't recovered and are very (not lightly) sore - give it a bit more rest. The rest IS a crucial part of building the muscle.
