Bad tutorial. No word on how to set MFDs, no explanations, poor English, too much external views (really, you think anyone who is using this tutorial doesn't know what Orbiter and XR2 look like?), 4:3 aspect ratio. You should be sent to live on the Moon.
@LemmingClub Bad comment! You cannot try a flight to Moon if you don't even know how to change the MFD menues. This tutorial is not made for peoples that even don't know the basics of Orbiter. So, see you on the Moon if you can reach-it and come back alive. BTW, i bet you understand my english, but you dont know any word in my language, who is in advantage? :))
How did you make the determination that the moon was roughly 110 degrees? I didn't see it on your map mfd. The closest part was about 120 for a position.
@Bendarr2 When i started the flight i watched the right MFD where i had the orbital planes, but on the replay, at takeoff, i switched on the 3D cockpit to see the takeoff from this perspective.
Gotta love those Mach number calls when on SCRAM thrust. Mach 6 Mach 7 Mach 8 Mach 9...... Mach 21 just puts into perspective how fast this ship is accelerating tearing through the sky like a devil on fire.
I have a "little" question : Whenever you use hover/retro, nothing happens because you have to open thems manually. Is there a way to make this automatic, like in every Orbiter spaceship ? This is one of the most annoying thing in the Ravenstar&Vanguard.
@OrmindoThePaladin Yes, not once, i forgot to open retro/hover doors in critical phases of landings on Moon. I think an automatic open doors for this vehicles doesn't exist, you must be attentive to do this earlier to not have problems when you landing.
@IngoGallacher Ach, that sucks. It's ok for realism, but if this is a futurist ship, the computer should do stuff itself (much like the DGIV). It's very bad for critical phases - I failed two dockings because of closed retro doors.
Very nice tutorial, I think you should note now though, that this is made with the current released version of orbiter, and not the beta version, to avoid some confusion. Anyway, nice tutorial, Im sure I've learned something (I hope, couldn't actually fly to the moon >~> until now maybe.)

Too bad it couldn't work in real life.

@Razorlvirus Also! It will be a great achievement for these very well-designed ships.

@Armigo91 Try on orbithangar.co* and search "Realistic Earth Atmosphere", or something like... you will find a lot of add-ons ;)

can you use a joystic, similar to flight simulator

@ned987 Yes, i am using a joystick until i leave the atmosphere, then in space i am using the keyboard to control the RCS system.
