Can someone tell me the difference of being towed by a boat with a tower (rope is attached to the tower) than a boat without?

i wakeboarded once the first time i got up i tried to clear the wake becoz i saw my friend doing it and i thought it looked easy but i fail'd but it didnt actually hurt the only thing that was sore the next day was my arms :D

Trying out a lot and something takes a lot of wipeouts.
