  • bought a bride is a good song they shouldnt have blocked it

  • wheres track 8?

  • @miserableoutcast Blocked by youtube.

  • this band is just so.......amazing

  • Why I love this band so much? They don't get played on the radio and their concerts are always General Admission. I don't mean to sound like Hipster Kitty, but it just adds to the music.

  • How darkly the dark hand met his end. He was withered and bony, exposed for a phony. But we heed the last words that he penned: haste to disgrace the traitor, do not wait 'til later.

  • one of the few bands i've heard of which got heavier as they got older, most other bands go the other way.

  • @Devaprakash777 I like Brand New but when I first heard this album I was blown away. They got heavier and darker which is awesome. To anybody who dislikes any song from Daisy, go listen to your shitty new AFI albums and pretend that it is good music.

  • just got obsessed with this album the past month, and this is by far my favorite. love them.

  • if brand new got any better id cum out my ears

  • @morespininjellyfish i already have

  • i just wish the radio companys would recognize them and play some of their songs

  • @tyranitar48 no. stfu now please.

  • @suicidalsmurf55

agreed! i like keeping brand new all to myself.

  • When I heard that the new album was kind of screamish I was skeptical, but this song is so good. I think he decided to do this style for a reason, it is very expressive of the feeling he is sending out and very raw.

  • Normally I really like screaming (and I do really like his scream as well) but because of his incredible singing voice I wish he didn't scream as much in this album. Still amazing though.

  • this is the first song i liked from them. now i like all of their songs

  • I love all the music, It's just a little too much screaming, It sorta kills the song

  • At first I was a bit turned off by daisy, then I realized that unlike all other bands, you actually like to switch up your song. Now Daisy is on the same level as The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me (which is my all time favorite album). Regardless, this song is some powerful and beautiful. Keep up the work, you speak to so many!

  • @93hondaLX I have a similar story, I was afraid by the change, but I liked it once I tried it out. The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is my favorite album too, one of my favorite albums in history.

  • Bad recording...why is everything in a higher pitch than on the album? This sounds so weird.

  • i love this song.

one of my favorites on the album. next to Noro and At the Bottom.

  • This is just one great band through and through

  • This is AMAZING!! I am seeing them in January and i can't freaking wait. This may take over as my favourite song by them.

  • Everyone always think they're broken up or going to break up. They're just doing what they're good at. I'm sure they'll keep doing it . Until the line up changes I think they'll always put something out.

  • i agree i just read something on the alternative press website that there was a rumor saying they were going on a "indefinite haiatus" but they're manager is denying such

  • took me a while to truly appreciate this album, it's great i love it

  • I was the same way, took a bit for the CD to grow on me, but I love it,

  • didnt like daisy at first. like it alot now too bad its prolly gonna be the last album they make.

  • I'm honestly so torn with this album. Don't know what to think. 1st CD- good, very catchy, basic. 2ndCD -Soo good, much better, thoughtful lyrics, a little deeper. 3rdCD -Epic, they fell down a well that's how deep they went. melodic n passionate. Now Daisy: Totally caught me off guard. lyrics are so great, deep, intense, raw. i really think i can't understand most of it first listen b/c it's so great. screaming isn't my fav. but i'm open to it. So far vins songs have been my favs.

  • i agree totally with you, except about vins songs. maybe they'll grow on me, hell i have an open mind. i really don't know who wrote which songs but i'll just say sink, noro, and at the bottom are probably my 3 favs. if vin wrote all 3 of them then maybe that helps his cause....but your analysis of the other 3 is spot on and the devil and god is so fucking epic its one of the best albums for sure...and it was a hard act to follow maybe it set the bar a little too high....

  • I'm pretty sure that vin wrote noro, sink and him and jesse wrote at the bottom. yeah, those three are my favorites so far too. Just went to a Brand New concert a couple nights ago. They were great but came on at 10:45 so they're set had to get cut short, pissed off about that. And they didn't play handcuffs but w/e, there's violins in that so i guess it wouldn't sound the same anyway.

  • i feel this is an album worth buying, downloading just wouldn't give it justice

  • funny you say that, i just watched an interview on youtube of Jesse and he says "im tired of selling these albums they don't make money and i just want this heard, please, im encouraging you all to download Daisy illegally or however" ahahahhahaa. either way incredible stuff!

  • true that fuck dl u cant be cheap buy it its worth it i have all there albums and i like Every single one of there songs there's song i cant say i don't like that's just me

  • I see God in birds and Satan in long words

  • These songs are sped up. Haha

  • the new album is awesome!!!!!

  • def my favorite song on this album.

  • cloverbabydoll, dont worrt its just BRAND NEW you will get use to it..... the words are still as powerful as befor.. they still put time and greatness into the songs and they still sound pretty dam good.

  • no filler here baby ^o^

    XD

  • lovin it! i'm seeing them thursday! i'm excited out of my face.

  • i'm seeing them friday :D

  • where you at? philly or detroit?

  • detroit!

  • sweet. he played a mix of all the songs on every album they made. off of daisy he played at the bottom, vices, you stole, sink, and gasoline. he played a song for us he never played before, commented that 'this cleveland river is going to be legend in other states.' by that he was referring to the absolutely HUGE river-like mosh that swallowed the first eight rows of people, we were constantly on the verge of suffocation and death. was it worth it tho? heeeeellllll yes.

  • The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is the best album Brand New has done. Everything about it is pure genius. All of their new songs are extremely disappointing: the singing is poor, the lyrics are weak, and the music is second rate (at best). However, Deja IS a great album. I feel like the lyrical style has matured more in The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, but both are great. ;) Daisy is very disappointing, indeed - although maybe I had too high expectations and haven't listened enough

  • Though I mostly agree with you about their past albums, I'm impressed with this album. It seems like a good progression on their style from The Devil and God. It did take listening to the album a lot to like it though.

  • Devil and god was best all other three albums are tied for a close second. weak lyrics? daisy definitely has some incredible lyrics and deep songs. as far as the singing the new touch Jesse added may take some getting used to but is really interesting and all in all a good sound for the album, especially how it blends with the instrumental parts like in the song daisy. idk how any fan of D&G couldn't like this album i honestly had a harder time adjusting to D&G than daisy in terms of enjoyment.

  • Man I dont think they will ever make another album that lives up to Deja Entendu. I used to play that album all the time but I'm not really feelin these last 2

  • Weird how I feel the opposite. Deja is good. But I could live off of the last two. They both blew my mind.

  • Deja Entendu was my favourite album.... and then I heard the last two. Now I regard Deja as pretty low for Brand New standards.

  • Word.

  • Woooorrrrrrrdddddd.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

i need to buy there album D:

  • i really didn't like this album at first. but it's growing on me. it's probably still my least favorite, but its still good.

but i mean, jesse lacey could write a song about taking a shit and it would still be a masterpiece.

  • vin wrote majority of this album..

  • You like this less than Your Favorite Weapon? Really?

I totally respect that if you do...it just doesn't make sense to my brain.

  • I agree with you, but Deja Entendu on the other hand... it's really difficult to pick one. They're both amazing.

  • I'm a hardcore TDAG fan, and upon first listen I didn't really like this album, but it's grown on me, and it definitely hasn't surpassed TDAG but it's my second favorite now.

  • sounds like you know you're right by nirvana

  • i think they've taken it in the 'you won't know' direction. at the moment i would say this album is my third favourite after tdagarim and deja entendu, but with listening more i think i will eventually prefer it to deja entendu. not as good as tdagarim tho. and loooots more religious stuff, which i dont think is as good.

  • its just like devil and god, you have to keep listening to it until it sets in, and you begin to like it, I wasnt totally stoked the first time i heard devil and god coming out of deja entendu, but they are still brand new take it or leav e it

  • Why argue about what they've become and not just enjoy it? If you don't like them anymore, just leave it: bitching on a youtube video won't change their musical preferences.

  • Everyone is spouting off saying they've been going this direction, but still...this is a little bit off a leap from Devil and God. There were melodies in every guitar and bass line. I don't know...

  • god this album has alot of Jesse's glorious screaming :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!

  • favorite

  • i second this

  • I'm not sure how you can not like this if you're a Brand New fan, they have been going in this direction all along. In my opinion this is perfection from a band that I fell in love with from songs like Seventy Times Seven, Jude Law and a Semester Abroad, Ok I Believe You But My Tommy Gun Don't, Me VS. Maradona VS. Elvis, and Good to Know That If I Ever Need Attention All I Have to Do is Die.

  • totally agree with you.

  • @Braxx11

    yes!

  • is anyone else not diggin this? I mean, I like brand new from deja and devil and god but this? I really like the line "if you call i'm coming to get you if you want to sink i'm gonna let you" but it doesn't sound pleasant to my ears with all the screaming and high pitched singing.... it sad because i've been waiting years for new brand new...

  • Yeah, not exactly sure where brand new is taking this album. And Braxx11 is a dumbass. The last 2 brand new albums were very different from their early days and they were great. So far this album seems to be a regress. I expected to be more raw with much less distortion. Now I just hear screamo that could be mistaken for alexisonfire or boys night out.

  • Scott1821, you wouldn't happen to know a Chris and Jason would you? The white cheese and Colombian?

  • What

  • Forget I said anything. Mistaken ID.

  • oh okay

  • the song is fucked up, it's too high pitched.

  • A bit Nirvana like..."Things have never been so swell, I have never felt this well" - You Know You're Right

MoFo better not get near a shotgun...

  • its

"that every dead is ate by worms"

  • hmmm.....

  • favorite songs for sure. i love 1:43 . that parts always stuck in my head

  • Sounds like Turn the cannons towards the boat Men were drowning in the moat It was the end of all the rower's oars And... It's taken me this long to learn that every day you dig for worms and once they're gone they don't return and... You want to sink, so I'm gonna let you Then the fire snuk into your bedroom Now our father sleeps to forget you

  • It's not screamo you moron, go look up fugazi and Jesus Lizard and you'll see where Brand New found their influence.

  • THANK YOU.....*bows*

  • O.K i guess he isnt screaming then??? Anyways his main influence is from moressy.

  • "It was the end of all the worlds hope"

That's what it sounds like to me, can't say if those are the actually lyrics though

  • Their songs just get better and better!!!! This song is Fn awesome!!!!

  • best song on the album

  • This right here... Is the Shit!!!

  • oh lawdy this is amazing

  • Holy shit, this album is awesome so far! Thanks for posting!
