It was indeed an old away kit that Rangers lent to Boro. Big Mal didn't look very happy up in the Directors box. His first game had been a few months before and bottom of the table Boro had beaten top of the table Rangers at Ayresome Park. Allison's impact had worn off by the time of the return game in London and Rangers went up as Div 2 champions. UUUURRRRssss!
