  • its probably the fuel shut off valve as I call it,,its up around the carb an inline to it for the gas and they can stick and stop gas flow,,it has a plunger pin if you get it apart and it must move an spring back freely for fuel flow

  • Hi, my Miller Bocat 250 with only 18 hours wouldn't start so i checked the fuel filter, the fuel level, etc. Couldn't think of anything else but no gas in the fuel line. This may sound crazy but what i did worked, take off the fuel filler cap and put your mouth over the fuel filler neck to make a seal and blow hard and keep pressure for about 8 seconds. Put the fuel filler cap back on, pull the choke and start it. Just don't inhale the GAS!!!!

  • Ive had Lincoln and now have Miller. Had it for 3 years,. Dont use it much, had the same problem. Needed fuel pump. Soon later, needed choke cable. original cable was made wrong at the carb end and wouldnt clamp on the outer shield. Made the choke run partially on all the time. It ate up plugs like crazy. Finally I figured it out, choke was not going completely off. Check these on yours to be sure.

  • Should of bought a lincoln ;)

  • how do i acess the battery for replacement on the bobcat 250?

  • Fuel filter may be empty - replace the pickup hose in the fuel tank as well as the screen on the end of it. Use silicone to seal the replacement hose where it enters the tank. Pour gasoline down the carb to get it going until the fuel filter is full. You may also consider priming the filter with fuel as well.

  • i had the same problem man what it is miller makes a cheap plastic that sucks up the gas in the gas tank and that probably broke but i used a diffrent hose liner to fix it and put gas in the carburator tried it like 4 times and then it worked but to me its the fuel line that snapped off in the gas tank

  • @mrclark0121 Drained the gas and took the carburetor apart and soaked it over night.

  • I've always liked miller, I won't buy anything else. I would like to buy a new one like urs.

  • The miller welders electrical systems are better (fact). They pass all the over acheived tests (fact). An I like ur welder. I have an 80's model an it still runs like new.

  • @Coltonself1995 It is a nice welder it shure doese strike nice

  • Ur sparkplug lines may need to be checked, check every wire the would lead to the sparkplug unit.

  • Miller bobcat 250 way better

  • 100 dollars and I'll take that piece of scrap metal off your hands.

  • @jj3449 that wont even buy the leads

  • Wich is better, this BOBCAT MILLER 250 or LINCOLN RANGER 250?

  • dont realy know for shure.... but i have always been a miller man. Im shure the lincoln is good also.

  • You may want to try fresh fuel , make shure the sparks plugs are not damp , and the carb or fuel inject system are ok.

    Hope that helps

  • i will give it a try thatnks!

  • Got her going? Maybe show a video of you welding with it too?

  • ya i got her going.... and i sure will when i get some more welding to do!

  • That thing looks nice, hope you got it going
