okay, just because I like to explain stuff, John117 (MasterChief) was born on a different planet than Earth but it wasn't Reach. He was taken for the Spartan-2 project at age 6. He was flash cloned so no one would know that John was taken for this experiment and Im not even sure if John is his real name or if it was given to him by the UNSC. John was then trained from age 6 to somewhere in his mid-twenties to be the ultimate spartan that he is- Just like how it was for the Ancient Greek Spartans
