Well thats a good reason to use mp4 but it still has no relevance to my complaint. the fact is they removed support for a very popular format which they could just as easily left in and not focused any of their time on updating that component! Me personally i play avi files on the xbox 360 so when i get something that lets say for example is in mkv format i use hanbreak to convert it to avi.

I can now use vuze to stream .mp4 to the xbox but sometimes thats not convenient. you zimme?

go to the website where u download the vlc but get the vlc version 1.0.2 , make sure u put the vlc app into the applications folder, then it should work. if it still doesn't then just pm me and i'll help u out

But I need to know if there is way to edit a video from Yesvideo. Try setting the framerate to "same as source" instead of 25. Use 2-pass encoding. If the resulting filesize is still too big, try dropping the bitrate some. Using same as source and 2-pass should actually improve your image quality to some degree.

Does anyone know what Handbrake settings are the best for producing high quality DVD rips that amount to less than 1GB? Currently I

* Set Anamorphic to "None"

* Set Video Codec to "MPEG-4 XviD"

* Set Framerate to "25"

* Set Avg Bitrate to "2500" (or thereabouts)

But the file, while quite good quality, is never as good as most of the DVD rips who regularly find on torrents that are about 700-800MB.

Can someone please explain what settings are best to convert DVDs to AVIs? Thanks!

You hit the tab that goes to download it and it will bring you to the website. Hit the download for OS X Leopard and it will ask if you want to download. Do it and save the VLC (which will be an icon of a traffic cone) and put it in applications. Then try again. That's what I did and it works perfectly now. Hope I helped!
