  • Whoever is the main soloist, don't go at your own temp. Follow the organist. You have no idea how much of a pain in the butt it is to skip around with the soloist.

  • I love being Catholic.

  • ouch!.....if you are going to sing (which you shouldn't anyway when its a soloist) make sure you can actually sing...2.25 and 3:21 is terrible, pitch, tempo...awful.

  • is thta st. patricks church in norristown pa

  • Its a beautiful church! So gorgeous <3 Beautiful song too <3

  • Boy oh boy, the people who always have something to gripe about! Good job. I thought it was going to be a different one (allI ask of you is to remember me as loving you, by norbet) but really --- hey, what about loving your neighbor and all that stuff? ach!

  • Great song but the singer is off par with the organist many times

  • you should not be recording in church. very wrong at a funeral

  • @OVERBERRY7 Over, it's like breast feeding, you can be discreet. Well, not really like breast feeding, but you get the picture. I'm sure the person didn't hold the camera over his head for all to see. Duh.

  • Thank you, wonderful!!

  • What is the name of that church where that funeral Mass was held? I am curious. Anyway, I like the hymn "You Are Mine", especially when it is played on the organ. I have heard it a few times on the organ at the Masses I've attended at various Catholic Churches. Please answer when you have the time.

  • WOOHOOO!(: and yay fellow Catholics, to those who arent, i love just as much(:

  • Next time use a tripod even a miniture would be good as these movements are Very annoying, and detract from the beauty of the picture and the singing.Sorry but true! ;-)

  • Beautiful song, beautiful church.

  • Very appropriate to film the Altar to St. Jopseph, after all he is the patron of departing souls!

  • They played this back in 2002 at the Funeral for a Minneapolis, MN Police Officer killed in the line of dudy. The Funeral was in Bloomer, WI where she grew up. Live coverage was provided across portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin. idk about the other media markets but for sure across the Twin Cities and Chippewa Valley region.

  • Those who hate the Catholic church know absolutely nothing about it. Ignorance is optional and many seem to opt in that direction.

  • Good upload, Keep it up!

  • the catholic church is in decline and the Pope should resign and thousands of priests

  • @TCAP4444 - You are a real jerk. People are coming to this video expecting a beautiful hymn about our Lord and Savior, and yet you poisoned it with a hateful, and out right rude comment. Whether or not your interpretations are on the Bible are true, this is not place to speak them. God Bless

  • Thanks, good to know someone is listening!

  • Wow, we need more people like you on youtube, because many people on youtube are Catholic haters. God Bless+

  • this was meant for cascadeTbone3@TCAP4444

  • @1917fatima Thank you 1917fatima, I am so sadden at the anger between faiths.

  • They played this in church today and I love it soo much.

  • thankyo=u for posting this hymn it has been played at many funerals that i have been to and still brings me to tears but at the same time it is very uplifting wen i am down and also reminds me that jesus is calling us home

    thankyou and blessings to you

  • This was played at my dad's funeral. Still brings me to tears but reminds me he's in Heaven now.

  • This was played at my grandma's funeral..it was a perfect hymn for her funeral.

  • One of my favourite hymms. Thanks for posting.

    God Bless!

  • this is one of my favorite hymns

  • Such a nice hymn...they played it at my friends funeral back in january it was so sad

  • Thank you for posting this. It is such an uplifting Hymm. It never fails to move me.

And how true; Jesus is calling us home.

    I love you Jesus!!

  • beautiful church

  • Is this a soldier's funeral?

  • In which Church was this filmed?

  • a beautiful hymn

  • I do not see anythiing strange about videotaping a funeral. We video birth! We video everything inbetween birth and death. So why not a funeral? Old west stood up dead people and took a pic. People who are considered saints have been videotaped. So, it fits that we would want a video of a love one's funeral too

  • I jut have one question -- why would you videotape a funeral?

  • Because sometimes the most important people who need to be there can't - especially if its someone in a soldier's family.

  • It would be nice if the cantor wasn't pulling the song and felt depth of this song.

  • That was a lovely song. I don't think I've heard it before.

  • nice song but the person video taping should not sing with the singer.. not good.. not good at all .. LOL

  • oh darling darling you are so confused the person taping never EVER sings so you are terribly mistaken...

  • No you didn't get it. THe person taping is humming with the soloist... when taping something so beautiful you can't hum or talk or whisper because it picks up. If someone even beside the person taping speaks or hums that tooooooooooo will be picked up which then is the case in this video -

It is nice don't get me wrong - I am happy you put it on here. Sorry if I offended you -and offer you my sincerest apology.. was just giving a constructive critiques with tons of respect.

  • ..its a church.... ever been there? other people sing along..it doesn't have to be the person video taping

  • @FORESTHILLSJOURNAL well someone right next to the filmer is singing

  • @Ramsayottawa not nice at all man

  • Very nice - thanks †

  • My favorite line in this song is, "Do not be afraid, I am with you..." I will always remember this line whenever I'm going through tough times.

  • Bravo! Beautiful church and a smashing voice.

    I love this hymn.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Welldone and God bless†

  • why are filming in a church?

  • Funeral Masses are to be in Churches - Catholic Masses are always celebrated in Churches or consecrated Chapels

  • @almondjoypooh

Where is this orthodoxy coming from? Weddings are video taped in Catholic churches. Why can't other masses be taped also? Not all masses are celebrated in churches; I have attended masses celebrated in homes and out of doors. However, wedding masses and Rites of Christian Burial are celebrated in churches or consecrated chapels. In addition, Catholic wedding ceremonies must be conducted in a Catholic church or other recognized "house of God."

  • What a lovely song... I also played it on my piano... check it out~ lol

  • A week after my grandma died, they played this during mass and my Mom, sister and I ended up weeping there silently. Thank you for posting it :)

  • this is my favorite song

  • this would be a lot prettier if the camera wasn't shaking around so much--

  • Ahem- I think that you should have stopped paying attention to the Funeral Mass and keep it more steady for the video to be shot properly ;)

  • What a beautiful voice!

  • tHANKS FOR VISITING

  • omg... I LOVE THIS HYMN... makes me miss the Catholic Church, this song isn't in the Episcopal Hymnal... so im trying to find the hymnal this is in and like teach it to the choir at my church...

  • It's in the OCP hymnals "Today's Missal: Music Issue" and "Breaking Bread"
