hey i have some yellow triangle next to the icons under the "sound, video and game contollers", shoud i uninstall all of them? pls answer, this is driving me crazy, in past day everything was normal, and yesterday, when i turn on comp, that appeard red x which says No Output Device is Installed, pllllls reply

thanks. i nearly gave up, but fixed it after setting BIOS from auto to enable, and installing from the browse list. Got it straight back to normal now.

@cozyparadise my best tip of advice is for you to go to your computer manufacturer's website, search for your computer model, and download the compatible sound driver for your computer.

can somebody answer me? before my speakers were "slightly" fine, I have sound but there is a static background resulting to distorted sound then 2 days ago, when I open my PC,There is no more sound. realtek detects different audio devices other than the green plug. it would detect blue and black plug or other colors in the rear panel even though there is no device into it. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

People have the sound, video, and game controllers option shown because of the different interface, go to control panel, click the arrow on the right side of it click all control panel items then you should see it somewhere in that list. But my computer doesn't have the third option and this doesn't workkkk):

No luck, Can't try the one as when i try uninstalling my device, theres no check box...I continue getting the same error when trying to update, or reinstall my driver. As for the 3rd option, ive only 1 sound thing...

Well it turned out that the card is a little hard to seat....If you can see the gold connectors then reseat the card....without the locking screw..it worked for me....PERFECTLY

None of these worked for me, not to mention I would have tried all of this myself if my sound card was showing up in the device manager at all... but it isn't, not under any category. I went from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7, then I went back to Vista to see if it would fix the problem, and it didn't, so I dont know what the fuck happened.

3rd solution worked. The thing is I installed a driver from Realtek and my pc crashed. I restarted and installed one of MS HD audio and it worked but now I have no way to up or down my sound because the is no speaker audio in the task bar. I may try the others 3 or 4 Realtek drivers later.

Choose the one that has 4 BLUETOOTH audio things (sorry don't remember what it's called) install it and restart your computer. i had the same problem and i fixed it. To see what each one has, click on it. Hope this helps.
