@PiaggioMax Beh il basso puoi distorcerlo, renderlo come una chitarra, suonare accordi, fare tapping, ci puoi fare quello che vuoi.Spesso suoni accordi e nemmeno te ne accorgi, un esempio banale è Plug in baby dei Muse dove arpeggi accordi di quinta (i famosi power chord, quindi mettere mano destra sotto forma di power chord aiuta), e lo stesso Steve Harris degli Iron Maiden usava gli accordi come strumento percussivo (come segnabattuta).

Nothing beats a damn good bassline in a song :3 Jaco Pastorius & Victor Wooten are bassists but imo people pete wentz are barely bass players, nowhere near the same league. I hope someday I'm half decent at bass.

this guy is really talented. i want a video of him doing a whole set of street performances because he has a very unique style. he sounds great solo but when he plays with a band in some of his other videos he plays too much lead for his songs. The guitar player he plays duets with will be playing lead as well as Lomanis (this guy) on bass doing lead chords. This is impressive because they are both great musicians, but at the same time its a little chaotic. This version of hendrix is amazing

@typous I've played for a couple of .... well, let's say a long time. I've seen lots of guitar players who played bass tire out after a very short time, and made lots of technical mistakes while playing that short time. No one can just pick up a bass and sound like Victor wooten of some other bassists even better, on the spur of the moment. But I have to admit my classical guitar training DOES help my bass guitar playing. Try playing the double bass like a guitar. It's much much harder.

@cram0403 Check out the world of Jazz. Bassists smoke guitarists regularly, and not by playing Bass like guitar either. Their re things a Bass can do that a guitar can't. But most things that a guitarist can do can also be done on a Bass.
