  • i taught my dad how to fly fish and tied this fly for me and my dad 2 black and 2 tan each with in minutes of each other we caught a 20 and 24 inchtrout i now tie this for my friends and family and they are killer in all types of water and caatch all types of fish

  • it's a good size fly but effective

  • Bobby, I was looking for a bluegill fly for a farm pond and found your pattern. I tied up 4 in black and yellow and gave 2 to a buddy and I fished 2. It's a healthy farm pond but the results with you sponge spider pattern were astounding! Nice bass, Big bluegills and a HUGE crappie. Thanks I have a new favorite pattern that I can't wait to take to the smallmouth streams. JJ in Ohio

  • Thanks Bob, sponge spider will be a good addition to the fly-box.
