question because i am in the process of doing mines, why cant you just use a jump charger to charge the batteries,200 amp charger its a black pull around used for chargering and quick start. instead of those small chargers.
why do you spend that money to put it in the first place.?? Also to charge the batteries takes a lot of electricity. and the car is no longer safe and you can't get anyone inside. it's gone backwards.
Are you using ultra capacitors? It gives you better acceleration and save your batteries literaly. Acceleration kills the battery charge and life too. Now that we have ultra capacitors, the acceleration and decelaration (when using induction brakes) is more efficient on many aspects.
greak work but i dont see why you used this type of batteries as they are heavy and dangerous,i am not refering to the acid that you are carrying behind your seat but if something goes wrong these batteries blow up like granades , are you sure about that choise

good job man if only everyone could be so creative.. its ashame that gas cars still exist, see how one man can do this? think of what a multi billion dollar car company can make...
it's plenty safe, it's an Alltrax controller and I've been buzzed with 72 volts and it's nothing. at least put electrical tape over it or something though
Thanks. Its people like that who just dont understand the principle behind it. Id like to see him build an electric vehicle. The guys at the DMV thought it was awesome, as does everyone that looks at it.
There are lots of them. I would suggest reading some electrical engineering books, and buying the parts seperatley off of EBAY. For simplicity you can buy kits, but they are pricey!!

This is an excellent job. Thing is, if he gets into a horrific collision (god forbid), he would be covered in battery acid from both sides.

not to mention, the other car would most likely be gas powered, so a collison could ignite the acid, make a big explosion

@tabletop45 batteries only explode in electic cars. the oil company make sure it has never happeded in a gas car.

You should hook some solar panels to the roof. That way it will charge when your at work.

What about a heater? No engine, no cooling system, no cooling system no heater core?
