@haliwellhobbs Oh! I also just noticed on your You Tube channel page that your hometown in the U.S. is the same city where checks to Paxhouse have to be sent when ordering. We still have the defective monstrance.
@haliwellhobbs Paxhouse is overpriced, has an "office" in new York state and a business in Mexico. We bought a monstrance from them that was poorly made, and had nothing but problems with Paxhouse regarding it. They no longer sell on eBay because of complaints.
Remember Christians, the will of God is no Catholic, Protestant,Orthodox, Penticostal, Adventist, JW, Etc. NO DIVISION, Only Christians, holy, helping and sharing instead of buying and selling.
"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:9-21)
Yes. It is too bad so many Christians have split from the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and gone against our Lord's holy words by creating discord. God have mercy on those who lead people away from the truth.
You will love the latin mass. This saturday we are having a 9AM Latin mass for the blessing of the candles. Hope to see you there on sunday. We have coffee and Doughnuts after the mass in the family center behind the church.
I have been to OLPH twice (I live like 1mile south of it) and I really dont like that church because its way too modernized. You will like our church. We have 3 priests (Father Lutz, Monsenior Schweizer, and Father Kim {he does the korean mass}) We also have 1 Fransican Nun that is a member of our church and 2 visiting nuns. You will probably see me sitting with our nun during the coffee and doughnuts time.
OLPH is waaay too modernized. I just don't get anything out of the Mass at all there, I'm afraid. You are almost looked down upon if you are devout. Hard to explain.
Anyhow, I shall try to say hello to ya on Sunday :) I shall have my two sons along as well.
I hope to see you there. I will be sitting all the way in the front. Feel free to come up there if you need help following the mass in the little red books (provided at the back of the church) I am helping another lady who has not been to a latin mass in a very long time.
At a Tridentine Mass, it is expected of women. It is not a practice to oppress women, but to offer respect to God. Women are the glory of mankind with their beauty (as manifested in their hair), so to show respect and give full attention to God, during the Mass, the girls and women are to cover their "crowning glory" and cover their heads (as well as NOT wear pants or miniskirts, or show cleavage).
:) Not to worry. I think I've worn pants to church less than a dozen times in my entire life -- and that was because of travel and right after pregnancy. And by now (a month later) I have quite a collection of head coverings :) Working on the Latin now.
I feel peace in this kind of Mass.

@haliwellhobbs I notice that you're located in Mexico, in the same city as Paxhouse. You're connected to Paxhouse, aren't you? :) Nice ad.

The songs being sung by the choir reflects the solemnity of the Holy Mass.

My family has finally decided we need to stop going at OLPH. :)
We will be going the first time to Holy Family on Sunday. I'm excited. I've not been to a Tridentine mass before.
Thanks for posting this!
