i like the version of deva premal for this mantra. i wish she sing this version using Dumagat words that say the power in the name of Lord Yeshwah.1.) e kalegtasan ey kamu, e kamatoden ey kamu, on edop ey kamu, e kapionan ey kamu, e kapangyedian ey kamu-e yeshwah/ e katoweden ey kamu, e kabenalan ey kamu(this mean= salvation is yours, the justice is yours, you are the life, healing is yours, the power is yours-the Yeshwah, righteousness is yours, holiness is yours!)
Thank you for your purest version to our modern way of life if its what it takes to transport people in this inner place and with the beautiful creativity and tools to enhence it , by all mean and goodness of heart to reach the largest of our humanity to the transition of their human soul to the source of all life as we are universal...
I have been chanting and doing mantras for over 35 years, and I absolutely hate this! This Califormia spirituality seems so phoney, the sweetness is so corny, it's all so narcisstic, it's unbearable. Listen to authentic chanting by real Tibetans and hear the difference. Sorry, but this is bullshit dipped in cholocate.
@gariji1 your words are showing your OWN state being Gariji, not Premal's. Yes, we have all heard the the Tibetan monks chanting Om Mani Padme Hum in the way they have for thousands of years, and that is beautiful. it is ALL beautiful. production aesthetics aside, its a great mantra any way you slice it. She is brining it to a wider audience by creating a very relaxing, mellow vibe here, similar feeling to listening to enya or something like that.
Such a beautiful song and montage, thank you for sharing. Checkout our interview with Deva Premal and Miten who speak about healing and the power of their music and mantras.
Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the bodhisattva of compassion. The meaning of Om Mani Padme Hum can not really be translated into a simple phrase or even a few sentences.
@phyllislovell Awesome write up on the translation - it is exactly what I needed toward my journey forward with the awareness of this specific chant. One word, Compassion says it all. Om Mani Padme Hum.
@ekobay125 Thank you for your comment on my post. I'm glad I was able to be of assistance to you. When I say or do something in peace, love & compassion with the intention of helping, comforting, &/or enlightening, I do not expect anything in return. But when it happens, such as someone sharing with me that I have made a difference, it is appreciated & I am grateful for my blessing. Namaste'
what a blessing, love the artwork. They are sharing their beauty with us at the Monastery Manchester England, May 11th 2010. come and join in blessings
Mantra é, literalmente:Man =mente e tra=proteção.
