  • Sorry, I got lost between the lines =D so, can this type of 150# crossbow be used for hunting small game up to deers? Thanks anyway, I enjoyed the discussion.

  • @Stringgg :) Let's say "YES", but i wouldn't use it. It can kill smaller animals for sure and may be a deer if the shot placement is good.

  • @kaziklu79 Well, I've read about hunting ethics, they recommend to put your prey to rest with the first shot, to spare it from suffering, or living handicapped further on, in case it escapes. I bet you guys already knew that or figured it out =) I asked because I had a doubt that 150# will be enough for larger animals, after watching a video about hunting boars. Man, those grunts are diehards for sure =D you can even throw a nuclear warhead on them, they survive the first nuke =D

  • @Stringgg Except the weight, the draw lenght is also important. A crossbow with a longer powerstroke will be deadlier then one with the same poundage but shorter.

  • Are you seriously loading and firing that thing in a suburban garden? You should be in jail.

  • @donepearce I do hope that you're not so brainwashed to really think that i should be in prison for shooting my crossbow in my backyard, behind 3metres tall brick walls.

  • @kaziklu79 No brainwashing required. All you need is an actual brain to understand that this is not an object fit for a town. You clearly have neither a need nor a use for it.

  • @donepearce On the contrary, you need a brain to understand that a responsible man doesn't need a faggots government to tell him what he can or can't do. Talking about needs we only need some bread, salt and water to live, but i don't think we'll be very happy with such a life. By the way this is a target crossbow which isn't very powerful and is made exactly for urban use, it's no match for the real hunting crossbows.

  • @kaziklu79 Not going to get in the whole where to shoot your crossbow inside backyard outside archery range honestly i could care less. But, i happen to own a jaguar 150lb crossbow and FYI 150LB crossbow IS a hunting crossbow or can be used as one. Yes it has limitations on what you will hunt but it can definately take down a deer at 30 yards. Trust me. If you are using it for hunting or not is totally up to you but i say again FYI it IS a hunting crossbow

  • @togashigr11 May be it is, but when i compare it to the new Perfect Line models (like the one you have and the more powerful ones) or to my Barnett QUAD 400 it doesn't look so capable. However i'm not a hunter and wouldn't kill an animal with my bows or crossbows.

  • what mean 150 lbs? thats weight of crossbow lol?

  • @KRAUSER0130 This is the draw weight - when cocking the string you pull 150 pounds.

  • @kaziklu79 ok thank you,have a nice day :)

  • @KRAUSER0130 The same to you :)

  • I have that crossbow, but I have a hard time caulking it

  • @asianpwnyourbigass You're 14 years old, right? With the time it'll become easier, don't worry.

  • @kaziklu79 lol u know Im 14

  • nice crossbow

  • @gabornagy25 Thanks!

  • WTH Nice

  • @zeiidii Thanks!

  • what's the energy on that thing? I'm trying to get my hunting bows up to crossbow energy and the xforce is there for sure the king cobra I think is a little weat at 70lb draw.

  • Oh, i don't know, sorry. This is a cheap crossbow with a shorter powerstroke and the arrow penetration in the target is almost the same as from my 55# compounds. I have also Barnett QUAD 400 but can't shoot it in the backyard to compare it to this one. As far as i know the energy of a crossbow is the same as of a compound because the bow have longer (10 to 15 inches) draw lenght.

  • @kaziklu79 actually with a compound crossbow and a compound bow the fps is approx the same if the cam design is the same, but the compound bow needs to be approx double in bow pounds to do this..this is due to the bows longer power stroke which is usually twice that of a crossbow...but there are many variables cams, powersroke, limb strength and design...

  • @3255959 Yes, exactly! Just the draw weight of the crossbow is not twice, but more likely 3 times heavier then that of the vertical bow.

  • @kaziklu79 Here's some examples barnett predator with a 175lb compound design shoots an amazing 375fps...and pse has very expensive design using a 150lb compound and is able to generate 400 fps...even your inexpensive quad 400 with 150lb compound is rated at 345 fps...How is that quad 400 by the way??... i have a barnett jackal i just bought and love it..But if the quad is reliable its a great bang for the buck for around $300..

  • @3255959 I haven't shot it - bought it right before taking my bows and after that i had/have no time for crossbows :)

  • Nice! That looks fun.

  • Yeah, it's great and you can shoot a lot without worrying about an expensive equipment :)
