i have a similar boat (dell quay john dory) 14ft. what do you guys think about putting an 85hp yamaha on it? would it be too dangerous or worth risking? tnx :)

The 90 Yamaha 2 stroke is the perfect motor for that boat. 230ish pounds. My Merc 75 weights 300. Tooo heavy for that hull.

Seems light for a 90hp engine. My 75 merc keeps my 15 whaler's transom alot lower. I tis a 3 cylinder though.
