This is the greatest lyrical performance of her career in my opinion. Her ability to articulately summarise not only the feelings of being dumped, but being dumped in a specific way, make you visualise the story in your mind so clearly. Not only that, but the fact that she holds back from showing off her range and instead sings softly/sweetly reflects the vulnerable nature that she finds herself in because of the breakup she's singing about. Lyrically timeless more than a decade later.
