Sophie is a beautiful daughter of God who has returned to live with him. Her sweet spirit and example have changed so many peoples lives in ways you'd never know. I've personally seen what a blessing she has been and how many people she has brought closer to Heavenly Father. Thank you sophie for everything.
I'm in Sophie's ward, i was up at camp with her. I walked with her, i talked to her on that very day. She is an amazing girl and i love her very much. I'm glad that this video says she was LDS.The church was very important to her and she would be glad that she is remembered as a mormon. She deserves better than people bashing on her religion on a video about her death. Just comment on this if you care about the beautiful, talented girl that died. There are better places to argue about religion.

Sophie is a beautiful daughter of God who has returned to live with him. Her sweet spirit and example have changed so many peoples lives in ways you'd never know. I'm in Sophie's ward, i was up at camp with her. I walked with her, i talked to her on that very day. She is an amazing girl and i love her very much. I'm glad that this video says she was LDS.The church was very important to her and she would be glad that she is remembered as a mormon. She deserves better than people bashing on her religion on a video about her death. Just comment on this if you care about the beautiful, talented girl that died. There are better places to argue about religion.

However, the reason I'm commenting is just to point out the obvious that, had this been a disabled-kids hike and she had got up out of her wheelchair and been able to walk all of a sudden, this would almost certainly have been hailed as a miracle (divine intervention)..

@MrFitzwilly Being Mormon presupposes you'll be privileged and elevated above the rest of humanity for the practice of your doctrine. The church views the world as a spiritual conquering ground. In practice the doctrine boils down to an us against them mentality in communities. This is why people bash Mormons. It's latent arrogance whether Mormons are aware of it or not. I was once Mormon. Religion is an excuse to create social groups. Get rid of the excuse and have social groups and no bashing.

I am Mormon, Im not exactly the normal Mormon that everyone expects to see, Many Members of my church are faithfull churchgoers, but go for the wrong reason. Some members are very accusing, and harsh on non members, and drive some of the most faithful away from the church, to never come back, You'll find some of us are the same as you, but some just give us a bad name.

I am Mormon and i don't think you have any right to be critizing Mormons. Whats wrong with Mormons? Half of the things people say or write about us is wrong, if you want to know the truth about something just ask a Mormon! We don't bite.I don't see why you don't critisize other religions, or any at all it's one's belief's and if you don't believe it , don't worry about it.

the beef I have is that I don't like people trying to recruit me because my beliefs are obviously wrong and they need to save me from myself.

I'm Mormon and obviously you guys are against that. Being Mormon is one of the greatest things in life that God could give me. What's wrong with Mormons? We are always criticized but there's no reason for that. How come Catholics and Christians aren't treated like Mormons are? We're not bad people.

It sucks people are allowing this to be the catalyst of presenting debate. Seems out of context doesn't it? The only way to handle people trying to get under your skin is to be nonreactive and indifferent to them. As in you value your energy and emotional state too much to allow it to be put under the control of another person, besides yourself. Something like, "oh you don't like that I'm Mormon.. Where did you get those cute jeans? They're adorable."

@gokussj100000 I don't know 'bout other people but I don't got beef with Mormons. I just got beef with Joseph Smith being a con artist. Other Mormons may perceive that as me claiming that their beliefs is a sham, but by no means am I implying that. In my book, anyone can believe whatever they wish to believe but my opinion is, "God" probably doesn't give a rats ass what religion anyone is in. "God's" probably more concern if the individual is a good person or not. FYI for anyone, I'm spiritual.

@Whyzitsotough Woah I highly doubt God is bias when it comes to his creation. If that were the case, there wouldn't be a need for judgement after death or good people dying left and right. If God closes all it's doors on its children, he'll always leave a window open. It's just a whether of choice if the person decides to enter or not. People may have different lifestyles and religious beliefs, but when it comes down to it, I believe it's what the inside that counts.

Sad to see someone so young die but there are many young people in Utah that die and get there lives cut short. What makes her any different? Her religion? Her Hobbies? They didn't get a television news story or an article written about them.
I needed to say this for all the people that don't get a news story or an article written about them when they pass away.
