Syn is a great jazz musician. Which is why his solos are so unique. He's developed his own sound in impov and when he solos it's one of the greatest sensations I've ever experienced. It's so Syn, so Avenged Sevenfold. I fucking love his solos.

People also usually find that when their teachers are even really skilled in things like math and science, it usually makes it harder for that person to actually teach the material. I'm not exactly sure why it is but it tends to happen in all fields. I guess you could kinda say it falls under the old (and slightly offensive) saying of 'those who can, do; those who can't, teach'.
