  • Do you know about the legend of Oni lsland? If you dont I can tell you. ^_^

  • @speedyhunter95 I do not; please do!

  • @UnPlayedAThing Onigashima (Oniga Island) means "Island of Oni". It's a mythical oni-infested island that features in the traditional Japanese tale of Momotarō, also known as the "Peach Boy".

Onigashima is sometimes associated with Megijima (an island in the Inland Sea near Takamatsu) due to the vast manmade caverns found on that island.

BTW. Oni's are Japanese demon-oger's. There depictions vary.

I also know a lot more about Japanese mythology and folklore.

  • this game seems pretty deep and long. great artwork too, love the character design.

  • "-ji" means "temple", so calling it "Kongobu Temple" makes sense. The Genesis version's name means "Kongobu Temple Temple"....

  • Hmmm, when Un said he was contemplating playing an epic RPG named "Exile", I naturally supposed he was talking about Jeff Vogel's "Escape From The Pit". So when I hear a proposal to try "VALIS", I do a little research before chiming in. Sure enough, it sounds like a fever dream of a game, but not a Philip K. Dick fever dream. O what a game that would have made.

  • Sadler seems to have some very impressive linguist skills, since he doesn't seem to have any kind of difficulty to understanding people from europe, midle east, india and now from asian.

  • Kukai=Buddha. Okay.

  • great work, i loved this game when i was a tyke. you need to find warsong, a old genesis stragey game that is top notch. also for turbo graphic is the vallis series. thanks and take care!
