For everyone saying "It won't record audio" - Click the little arrow to the right of the record button. Click "Built-In Microphone: Internal microphone." Then it will record audio. Like this to get it to the top comments so people know.

Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Wondering if you could help me at all... I have a new macbook pro which says it already has quicktime on it. Problem is, firstly, I can open it up, but dont have stop/pause/save function in menu bar so cannot end my recording. Secondly, it does not have that blue logo but instead has the apple applications logo (piece of paper with pencil ruler and paintbrush forming 'A' shape)So tried to update it but wouldn't let me as it said i was up to date.

@KingLeoChannel when you first click start screen recording, you will see a small white arrow in the right of the black box, click that and there will be a microphone option, its default is off, so switch that to the inbuilt option (or external if you have it) :)
