@EpicD1M3 , A big waste of money on my tax dollar, all cops need is a simple white toyota corolla with simple one light bar and police on the side in black letters !
Does that ridiculous "shark fin" actually light up?
I thought the Florida Highway Patrol was behind the times back in the late 1970's for using single beacon roof lights back then. Here we are in 2011 and Michigan is STILL using them (not this particular car but their regular fleet does).
@greenrefrigerator Our State Police have used the beacon light from the beginning. The newer model is a LED beacon. Which can be seen on this mans channel.
@greenrefrigerator I also recall FHP using those old style single beacon revolving lights. They actually used those things until the the Federal Signal Jetsonic came along. Then they finally got with the times and dumped those old ass beacons they used for years and years.
I guess Michigan puts those stupid ass "STOP" fins on the hood merely for tradition. It's looks completely idiotic but they do it anyway. Waste of money with a dumb appearance . . .
@sentar15jr It's a stop bar, also known as a sharkfin. Goes back to the days of when the cops would pull up alongside the left of a speeder or someone else they wanted to pull over and turn on the sharkfin to tell them they were busted. Now it's mainly there for tradition.
Our towns State Police Post (Ionia Post) has all chargers now. Most have the new LED beacon. They look amazing!
