Ok, I have to post a comment about this phone. My husband bought this phone about two weeks ago. Everything about it was awesome. He loved the idea of it because he not really gentle with his gadgets. The waterproof aspect was accurate but.......he dropped it once and the screen shattered. I have seen people continue to use their phoned after a cracked screen but he cant even do that. The phone still turns on but the screen is unresponsive.

you guys dont know how to review fones. 4 feet above the ground up to 26 times, really??? if it meets military specifications than the thing should be industructible. i have a basic messaging fone with no case on it at all and can drop it 10x higher and 10x more and it still works good. go back to laptops

Why do you need to simulate splashing when you are actually splaching? With all the glare from the outdoor environment, couldnt really see the screen "functioning". This guy was horrible in front of a camera, stick him back behind a keyboard so he can get back to playing World of Warcraft. Weak test overall!

i got this phone. i threw it at a brick wall. ive dropped it plenty of times on concrete and rocks. i also went swimming with it. but when i drop i accidentally out of my car my screen cracked and spidered. it didnt even land on the screen. it was only a 2 foot drop. im really pissed about this. 65 bucks to get it fixed. not including shipping. so even with the Corning Gorilla Glass its still is vulnerable to breaking easily. they need to make an otter box for this phone.

The GPS unit on my dozer at work has been outside in the weather since 2004, exposed 24/7/365 to all weather conditions, not to mention the extreme shock and vibration it gets 10 hours a day. It has 8,860hrs on it. Leave that phone outside in the weather for even 1 year and see if it still works. It won't, but they could make one that can. I want TOUGH, not just tough for a cell phone.

this is a nice phone i had the bolder when it first came out and went to a smart phone had a iphone untill last night the new commando is awesome it looks good and very tough! i am pretty rough on a phone and am confident in the capabilities of this one standing up to the punishment it will endure while in my possession! and FYI- it takes great pictures under water as well!! drop it from 4ft!! my ravine i through in the air about 20ft and let it hit the pavement... the back piece came off and the battery came out... other then that nothing she works fine to this day and I have to through it in the air and let it fall all the time to prove people how tough it is.
