  • Awww you can be so nice :'] I love it.

  • I started this video at exactly 11:27 pm... what a coincidence

  • its been a while since i've watched 1 of ur videos JP. And what was true then is true now. I still can't hear a damned thing over the sound of your own awesomeness!! you look great though. =D

  • I agree, you need to do what you feel is good for you. If the people around you truely do care about you then they will accept this change with support and encouragement.

  • @jpmetz: half a pound is still half a pound! good luck!

  • i love your makeuppppp !

  • Justine I love this side of you. You make me want to cry in a good way.

  • Chew Sugarfree Gum!

  • eurghh... justines being... HELPFULL!???

  • She's serious :o

  • to not fully kill yourself lol you should do one thing at a time. im glad you quit smoking. try putting cottn balls in a straw and chewing on it. thats what my mom did

  • Eating whole, unprocessed foods helps a lot, especially your health, not just your weight.

  • You are Gorgeous!

  • o-o wow she seems even more pretty than her vids :DD

  • yeah so I thought you posted the top 5 reasons for being fat and meant it... so much for that :( Oh well, I still think bigger girls rock it harder than skinny girls

  • @hollymcgl That video was like a year after this one. :)

  • i like your earrings in this one...

  • Love you JPMETZ!

  • Just Remember Theres Rat Shit In It And Glass

  • wait -- where's the sarcasm? where's the jokes? This has been a freakishly upside down jpmetz day for me!! ...but I still subscribed cuz it looks like I could use his channel. :)

  • Wow, serious jpmetz is awesome but scary at the same time.

I need to lose a lot of weight, but a low carb diet would probably be dangerous for me considering I take medication to help with my impaired glucose tolerance. But I'll start eating mostly lower GI carbs again and walk a lot to keep me warm. Cos who doesn't want to be more like jpmetz?

  • ilove you being more serious:)

  • Hi, i think you have a beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes, can we see some of your figure in your next video post?

  • good for u Justine!!

  • I've been heavy my whole life too. It's in my genes and it suuuucks. I've stopped smoking and drinking and I've lost over 14 lbs in 2 weeks and it's really changing me and my outlook on life. Keep goin', baby! You're doing good. =]

  • I love you,

Youre my inspiration!.... ah thats like the song haha :) I'm 16 and i need to quit smoking and shoving shit in my mouth!

  • i know this is an older video, but have you looked at 'mastering your metabolism' by jillian michaels? great, great book. i like ya, sister!

  • I love how I am watching this while aggressively munching on my Halloween candy. Eff.

  • i love those earrings!

  • Your eyes look gorgeous in this vid. Love the thick lashes.

  • Cutting out carbs is not healthy. Its a stupid

hollywood diet trend thats dangerous. I used to be a personal trainer. I've seen the no carb diets, they just leave people tried and run down. Your body's preferred source of energy is carbs if given a choice. You need them to run properly. The big killers are fat and sugar. Carbs which are not burnt off as energy will be converted to sugar, which is then stored as fat.

Exercise and keep the fat and sugar and and the weight will come off.

  • wow i havent seen her serious before..

  • I know its strange at first.

  • you are amazing!!! good for you for losing weight and QUITING SMOKING!! LOVE YOU!!!

  • don't feel bad justine, i downed half a pint of ben and jerrys magic brownies last night.

  • Proud of you and you look beautiful!

  • this really i don't know made me feel better. im only 14 and so far all i've been is heavy. it sucks people are so friecken stupid. you look gorgeous :) you are awesome :) i dont know why this made me feel so great :)

  • I can totally relate. I didn't know you were apart of a channel like this. You seem a lot... kinder... and calmer... and real, here. I'm sorry for my comment on your video on your channel, but you must understand, I discuss my weight and aesthetics openly and thought you did too so I didn't think you'd be offended, I thought you'd think I was funny. What a fail of an attempt at a connection with humor on my part...

  • yay!!! justine, my dad quit smoking and it was really hard for him but just keep on pushing yourself! i love your videos <3

  • I've watched a few of your video's and this is completely different than what I am used to. Your really beautiful and funny, keep it up!!!

  • btw, I'm sitting here eating a chocolate biscuit, so don't feel bad :P

  • Yay! High five for quitting!!

Yeahh, the 'losing an 1/8 of a ib is a bit of a fail, but I'm sure you'll get there. (On the plus side, you are pretty anyways.)

  • I love you Justine!! Keep up the good work!

  • yea. movement is the key. good luck :)

  • you're really pretty and u look good keep it up !!!

  • u look beautiful in this video!

  • i dont know if this has been said or not... but your earrings are FABULOUS

  • you're such an amazing person. <3333333

  • Look* damn I type too fast

  • I love your earrings and lipstick Justine. You looks really pretty

  • I cannot lose a pound to save my life! Im thirty pounds overweight. My problem is I love chocolate

  • you're such an amazing person and i can just tell that from watching this video!

  • babe dont fret over losing just .8 lbs...you've quit smoking AND managed not to gain weight!! thats a big deal in itself:)

  • thats awesome that you quit smoking and still managed to LOSE this week...!! everyone i know who quit smoking gained right after! so congrats on quitting! thanx so much for sharing your story.

  • not to criticize or ANYTHING.. just thought I'd share what a doctor once told me:

low/no-carb + high protein for the rest of your life will cause too much strain on you're body. Protein is much harder to digest and, in the long run, not eating enough carbs (complex carbs should be your body's main source of energy) will take its toll on your digestive system.

Congratz on the quitting smoking! + 0.8 lbs is still an achievement :)

  • its ok! quitting smoking is a great start already!

  • thats awesome that u are quitting smoking!!! :) yeah and there are so people out there like that, you are sooo right!!!!! this is awesome u girls!! i cant wait to see how well everyone does. OH HELL MAYBE I WILL BE MORE HEALTHY WITH YOU GUYS! :)

  • that's soo awesome..keep it up! from my own experience once you set your mind on quitting..you're done! it's all willpower!

  • I just quit smoking too. I think I am at 10 weeks. I feel so much better. I eat sugar-free hard candy when I feel an urge to smoke. keep up the good work!

  • Man, I wish I could cut carbs.

Carbs are like, my favorite thing ever. I can live off bread.

But totally go for it and tell me how it goes!

  • ahhh it is so difficult. the benefits are awesome but its sooo hard to follow

  • ur so pretty, and smart

  • .8 lbs is great! keep in mind you quit smoking! p.s. sugar free gum and weight watchers candies work great!

  • You are great!:)

  • oh how i wish your videos were longer and the other girls were shorter....

yeah! you wont see results in a week

    now you will start though!

  • Gosh you are so great

and what you said about those

kinda people is soo soo true!!!

good luck and great job girl!

  • Can I just say: Still SO proud of you for quitting smoking?!?!?!

You look beautiful, by the way. I am so excited for 789!

  • THANKS so much!!! heck yes!!!!!

  • Yes, she is an inspiration! I know it's hard. But it's SO worth it.

  • you look so pretty i love the makeup!!

  • Just remember, .8 is better than nothing! :) Really glad you're keeping up with not smoking, too. You can even tell in the vid you are proud of yourself. That's accomlishment enough. <3 The weight loss will come in time. :)

  • good job. keep up w. the non smoking. its ok u didnt loose anithing yet. its only been a week. your makeup looks exceptionally well also. ;) what kind of cam do you have? and what do you use to cleanse ur face.. its amazingly smooth and un angela like. lol. well yea. hollr.

  • I've been using a chamomile cleanser from burt's bees that i lurrrve! and the camera is just the isight on my macbook :)

  • Great job on stopping smoking. Loosing weight it tough, but you can do it!

  • cut em loose, best advice i have heard on youtube. Thanks for inspiring us. I am trying the same thing, quit smoking in feb and now weight loss!!! not doing so good though. maybe 5 lbs. um, so thanks again. :)

  • i love your facial expressions lol.. i think youre hilarious! but it was really nice to see a serious side of you!

congrats on the .8!! its a start!!

    keep with it! :D

  • hey Justine! I'm on weight watchers right now and I've lost 6.5 pounds so far. I'm so happy that you and the other girls have started this channel. you have no idea how motivated it keeps me now that you guys are trying to get healthy and lose weight too. and .8 is really impressive to lose just after quitting smoking. most people gain weight after they quit so yay you for not!

  • WISH U THE BEST ^_^

  • wow you look gorgeous!!

  • Okay, so a few things:

    1. Congratulations on doing so well with the smoking!

    2. Awesome advice all around, especially about the cutting people loose.

    3. You look awesome!

    4. Where do you get your clothes? So cute!

  • Also, you look great! :)

  • I love that bit at the end about cutting people loose - so right! I'm working on weight loss/lifestyle changes right now and I have encountered this somewhat already. I think it makes people uncomfortable who are already insecure about their own health or lifestyle choices deep down.

  • you are sooo cute! I think it's a greater achievement that u quit smoking, because you affect other ppl by smoking (second hand!). so congratulations...there is always time for weight loss. keep up the hard work!!Proud to be a subscriber of urs..=)

  • Your smoking cessation progress IS the most important thing you can be doing! Congratulations on that! Confetti Toss!!!

Keep up with the pretty eye make up too!

  • great job on quiting smoking

  • you look gorgeous here!

great job with the smoking thing, it's really difficult to kick the habit and it's amazing you've managed to :D

  • I am proud of you Justine. The first week was the worse for me too! But after that, like you said, you kinda forget about it. And .8 pounds is awesome! Even that is great. I think you are doing awesome. It is really hard to quit smoking and working on getting healthier. And a piece of candy or chewing gum is alright. On the biggest loser they say to chew gum it makes you feel like you don't need to eat and it helps with smoking. So keep going girl your awesome.

  • good for you to quit smoking that is soo inspirational!! keep up the great work i'm routting for you! :D

  • Im really proud of you justine, quitting is hard. Well done :D

  • Congrats on quitting smoking! I've done it (I've quit smoking for years now) and I think it's great you've taken the first step. :)

  • I'm couting my calories too, started recently, and my mother keeps mocking me for it lol. like u said, she's not happy with me wanting to lose weight, she thinks im already too skinny... but hey it's about we being happy about ourselves isnt it? thanks again girls for doing this, it's really making me wanting to go ahead with being healthy & losing some weight :)

  • pies: yeahh I dont think it's malicious at all, but you'd you surprised at how many people are like that! I've also encountered people who were like that *at first* but then turned around, its so tricky

  • hey you lost that's good. be proud of yourself for not giving up, cause it is a stuggle believe me I know.

tips I can give you are

Cardio (that is the best way to lose weight, get up walk around your block 20-30 mins a day, go to a gym jog on a tredmill, ect...)

once your metabolism is in order, should be a breeze!!

Carbs are not the enemy, there actually good for you. Trans and saturated fats. and food and drinks with HIGH SUGARS are what you should be watching.

  • Your skin looks so beautiful... you're absolutely radiant! I mean, don't get me wrong, you've always been gorgeous... maybe it's the not smoking, I dunno. But girl, you're glowing, not glowering.

  • miss: hahaha thank you, it's also probably my vitalumiere foundation :p

  • Cut 'em looooooose!

    <3

  • richard: amen!

  • you should really exercise.... if you excercise every day for 15-20 mins and diet at the same time you will loose 4 lbs a week....... I have done it! i lost 30 lbs in 3 months.. but thats only because i couldnt loose any more weight because i was skinny again :) ohh and excercising is good because if u stop exercising then it will speed up your metabolism so it will burn more calories than you take in so you will even continue to loose weight as u stop dieting and exercisng

  • iluv: thank ya!

  • Nice video Justine. Don't let the haters bring you down. Good luck- I'm making lifestyle changes too. We'll be skinny minnies together. Take care!

  • hey losing anything is better then gaining anything!!! I know you're gonna keep doing great Justine =D I mean hell some of it could be water too so you prob lost a pound =D that's why I like going to el bano before I weigh myself XD LOL an I'm really glad you quit smoking!!! My real mom still does and she just found out that if she doesn't quit she only has five years, of course this is added on to all her drug abuse but still =/

  • carbs are actually good for you once you jump start your metabolism. limit foods with trans and saturated fats. and foods with high sugar and sodium. AND AVOID ANYTHING WITH HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. make sure when you buy juice, that on the back it says 100% juice.

  • I agree. High fructose corn syrup isn't processed by your body the same way as regular sugar. Our bodies don't know how to because it's a synthesized ingredient. Please avoid it!

  • I quit smoking 3 1/2 weeks ago, it took me about two weeks to stop wanting to shove everything i could in my mouth just to not have a cig.... it gets better, lots better. I'm in the same place you are right now, getting back on track after quitting... we can do it damnit!!

  • quitting smoking is so hard! I fall back into nicotine's evil traps too often for my own liking. you're so strong!

  • Im so glad you pointed out that it is all about your choices. My mom has been doing atkins for going on like 6 years now. She had lost 170 lbs in the first year and a half. And has kept it off. And for people that dont know the Atkins diet is almost the exact diet you get put on if you have diabetes. You can do this Justine you are a very strong person. Well at least you come across as one lol. But I know you can do this. Keep it up.

  • Yeah Atkins and Weight Watchers are probably two of the best diets out there that actually work! I did weight watchers and permanently lost 30 pounds XD Unlike those ones we're they send you pre made meals like Jenny Craig

  • Congrats on not smoking! I know it can be hard!! :o) I know you can do it!!

  • Congrats on quitting smoking, that's a huge accomplishment.

Good luck with the weight loss!!!

  • I found that cutting carbs was a good way to boost the weight loss, but I couldn't ever stick to it. Good luck with it though! Everyone is different when it comes to what diet works with them.

I hear you about people not really being supportive. When I went vegetarian for the weight loss & anti-inflammatory properties of the diet, a lot of people kept trying to get me to stop. Some people kept telling me that I didn't need to lose weight! Too bad I wanted to lose 65 lbs to get to my old weight!

  • being vegetarian is great my family thought i was doing it for attention [too bads its been about 4 years now] =]

  • I think it's so annoying when people think that! I really feel so much better on this diet and it's helped me control my pain levels as well so I'm glad I made this change. I think people give me grief because I did it more as a diet then out of pity for the animals?

  • Happy for your quit smoking will!!! And so what you only lost .8!!! You lost it anyway! So congrats! :)

  • i worship you!!!! love this channel!!

  • You have to all those things just for you. If you do them for someone instead of yourself you'll probably not succeed. You have to live with yourself 24/7. They don't.

I'm glad you're happy about quitting smoking. That makes it so much easier.

Way to go on your weightloss!!!

  • Yay Justine. .8 is still good....but if you happen to gain some weight it's okay too. It's not necessarily bad as long as you are eating healthy etc. :)

  • <3 Not smoking will save you some money. And we all know you need it with your expensive health insurance.

  • Thanks so much for sharing.

I know about those people who can't cope wih YOU changing your life for the better. That is a weird thing, but true...

Best of luck, and CONGRATS wih the no smoking still going strong.

  • OMG I'm subbed justine. hahah. Oh it's beautynewbie, btw... I am just logged into my WEIGHTLOSS channel. how the hell come I wasn't invited here?! LOL You are awesome. <3 u Justine :)

  • You're so very honest in this video, Justine. Congrats on the 0.8, every ounce is worth celebrating, i've come to realise that! :o)

Good luck for this week, we're all thinking of you!! xxx

  • you had success even with trying to quit smoking! -0.8 is better than +0.8. good job justine! and i totally agree with you about people who are unhappy with your changes @ 3:15

  • well done hun, don't be down just because you only lost .8 of a pound. a loss is a loss and it's a hell of a lot better than a maintain or a gain because you made progress in the right direction to move yourelf forward. = )

  • GOOO JUSTINE!

I think what you are doing, what you ALL are doing, is TREMENDOUS, and such an inspiration.

You are right about cutting those people loose...it's certainly important.

ROCK IT OUT - you're AWESOME.

    :D

  • What you said at the end is so true, great advice. Quitting smoking also temporarily lowers your metabolism, so even if you eat perfect your weight loss may be slow for a while. It will kick back in. I was a pack a day smoker for 17 years...I quit cold turkey and haven't had one puff in almost three years. It wasn't easy, but it CAN be done, good for you for making the commitment to live your best life.

  • WOW congrats! huge accomplishment! I've read that about your metabolism just now actually... I've also read that quitting smoking kinda messes with your blood sugar, making it even harder to diet. so i'm def feeling better about it thank you!!

  • my mom's been on atkins for five years and she's lost almost 80 pounds! she, like you said, treated it like a lifestyle change. and she's the healthiest she's ever been!

  • Okay. You're doing this because you want to be healthier, yes?

Quitting smoking is a HUGE step towards being healthier. The fact that you lost almost a pound while quitting smoking is great.

Also, you look friggin gorgeous in this video, and I want to know what eyeshadow you're wearing! Desperately.

  • oh yeah absolutely, any pounds that i've gained from quitting smoking is small potatoes compared to all the benefits from quitting. the eyshadow is just a gray color (from my kat von d palette) and a little bit of amber lights kinda mixed together

  • you look insanely pretty in this video

  • agreed!

  • Congrats on doing so well with not smoking! Doing that while also trying to lose weight can be hard. Try not to stress about the .8 thing. It might not be what you expected, but at least you're eyeliner looks friggin' awesome as hell, right?

  • Losing .8 is better than not losing at all or even gaining! You'll get there, stay focused on your goals!

  • I have to agree with the people below me...it's so good to hear your honesty and the inspiration you're bringing to the people who watch these videos. I admire you a lot....you don't even know. I have a significant amount of weight to lose and I'm trying my best...I beat myself up when I mess up and eat too much...but I'm doing my best. Listening to you is helping to remind me that I'm not alone in this endeavor. Thank you so much for everything :]

  • .8 is nothing to sniff at! Especially since you haven't been smoking.

This is totally the most pathetic thing I'm going to say all day, but I def started crying when you were talking about people not liking the changes and wanting others to stay unhappy so they're not miserable alone. I just went something similar (relationshippy, not weighty) w/ my best friend & after months I figured out that that was what she was doing. It broke my heart.

My pathetic bawling aside (LOL), you're doing great!

  • any loss is good... but i know what you mean about the quiting smoken. i ate gum till my jaw hurt

  • get dancin gurrrrl

    shake them tittays!

    <3

  • Good advice at the end! And yes, the little balls on your earrins distracted the hell out of me.

  • love this, love you justine :)

  • .8 is great considering your quitting smoking. You have such a healthy attitude, you are very inspiring!

  • well at least its .8 lol

thats still .8more than me lol

    good job hahahahaha

  • i Love to see u so serious =D like genuinely speaking ur heart..u r so beautiful! =D u dont look heavy at all! u must carry ur weight super well! oh and BTW .8 of a lb. is better than gaining or losing no weight at all!! ;D Keep it up honey!!! YAY 4 weight loss!!! xoxo

  • Always noticed how lovely u are, but in this vid you are truely... gorgeous the hell !!

  • you're soo purty

    (^_<)

  • Im right there with you Justine..I only lost 1lb this past week :( But we must press on! :) Keep it up Justine...Your very inspiring!

  • r u an eastcoaster? because its only 10:24 here.

  • yup. new joiseyyy

  • hahahaha my friend's call it america's armpit but alot of really interesting people are from there. (like alot of their own friends) los angeles snoooooobs! ahahahaha

  • don't feel embarrassed! .8 of a pound is still something! and quitting smoking is a huuuuge feat! im really happy for you! =)

    good luck this week!

  • yay! keep up the not smoking thing! i'm very proud of you, that's tough to do

  • Good job!!!!!! Just remember that carbs are essential to your health. Just eat them in moderation and make sure to do some yoga or walking to burn it all off. Keep yourself active.

  • I couldn't stop starring at your earrings lol

    @_@

and keep up the great work!

    <3

  • me too... trying to figure out if they are little disco balls!

  • I can't believe you quit smoking cold turkey like that. Go Justine! :D

  • THANK YOU for the angry face at the end! :D

  • keep it up girl :)!

  • You go girl!

  • hey now I'm joking about the earrings...they're nice I just focus on the moving balls! LOL sorry

  • hahaha now that i'm watching this yes they are totally distracting... accessories fail

  • TY! :)

  • Dude, quitting smoking and losing a lb (seriously, you could probably just pee the .2 away) is MADNESS. Awesome madness.

Getting healthy is kick ass. I'm sucktastic at "healthiness" - someone (who is not me because I know sweet f**k-all on good habits) needs to start a channel thingy for those of us who eat crap or not enough and never exercise, and losing weight isn't what we should be doing, but gaining muscle and...the ability to run like hell so as to survive a Zombie Apocalypse.

  • Losing .8 of a pound is still a lose! I think that is great just for cutting calories. I have cut calories for the past weekish, and I had one 'fail' day. I can eat a bad thing that day lol. It really makes a difference, cause I figured 6 great days is better than 7 bad days. It's good to indulge every once in a while too. Plus, it's motivating cause I think "Oh I only have 5 more days left until I can eat something bad!" LOL.

  • Great job keep up the good work!!! Really you are doing a great job!

  • Hey there is nothing to complain about, quitting smoking is HUGE! Congrats girl!

  • 0.8!!! =) lol if you got back on that scale completely naked i bet you could get that full 1 lb haha
