They say protection, but surely protection is a matter of perspective. Regarding just who one needs protecting from? And the watchtower knows exactly what it’s doing, and its not protection. For themselves it is- yes. For children, No -Its indoctrination suffocation and immature sacrifice. The tying up of the whole family unit enables a massive in between blood, hearts and minds type control. The family/offspring are a maximum power bartering tool for the watchtower.
since birth, my parents always brought me to the kingdom hall meetings, and they have repeatedly shoved the bible down my throat. I remember even being bored at these meetings. Later, i began rejecting the Jehovah witness religion after some research i was doing.
Now, i reject Christianity all together for the superstition that it is. Good thing i didnt end up going through all that trouble to baptize, for nothing. Even back then, i felt that if i didnt baptize, God would destroy me.
@bluemime86 Your HEART wasn't in it. When you are compassionate about something, it has real meaning. When you are doing something out of (perceived force) fear, you can't possibly GRASP the true meaning. Jehovah God gave clear instructions to his people that they MUST bring up their children with the true knowledge of God. All religions and people of ALL sorts teach their children by word and deed by their example, the things they do. REFER to Deuteronomy chapter 6. Jehovah is the BEST FATHER :D
@bluemime86 I was brought up Catholic. At Catholic school, EVERDAY we heard hours of 'religious teachings'. Many children got bored. Many fell asleep during the daily Mass. I was right up front, using all my power to pay attention, and learn as much about God as I could.I would tell other kids about what I was learning. I wanted them to love God and know him, too. When a person is passionate about something and APPRECIATES it's value, they can't HELP but share it with others :D. I am now a proud JW!
@bluemime86 Christianity is NO SUPERSTITION. It is PURE FACT: 1) We keep track of TIME (2011) from the time of Jesus' birth. 2) No other man has influenced or shaped people's lives like Jesus has. Even thousands of years later, many yearn to know him, he is the most FAMOUS MAN ever! 3) The bible describes ACCURATELY how the earth was made. Scientists are NOW discovering all things had an 'INTELLIGENT DESIGN'. Things just don't 'POP' out of nowhere. Alot of effort is made to construct ANYTHING.
who is man to say and oppose the privilege of child of getting baptize under gods privilege, when a child commits murder dont we say he nows right from wrong!therefore let he with free will chose his own course of life, I can't believe people would have the intention to shun a child the privileges of serving god rather then soluting a nationalist flag and pledging an allegance to that. satan you make me sick!!!!
@ansermam The youngest Jehovah's Witnesses I've heard of getting baptized was 9. Usually I see them get baptized at around 12.I think by then they have a broader concept of the world around us and can really GRASP the meaning of becoming a true disciple of Jesus. The bible never mentions children getting baptized, but rather PEOPLE walking into the Jordan river or other bodies of water. A 'sprinkling' or 'pouring' of water over the head of an infant is not letting the child decide, but is ritual.
I was born and raised my entire life as a JW, I was not allowed to associate with anyone who wasn't a JW, I couldnt part take in any school activity or any sport, I was tought to preach door to door, my whole life all I knew was JW's life style. Everyone I knew was a JW. Because of a Physical abusive marrige I decided to get divorced, I was disfollowshiped at the age of 34, all the friends I made my whole life now don't speak to me, my parents have talk 2 me in 6yrs Im 41 now and I walk alone.
@papiboricua1969 You know, you don't have to walk alone any longer if you come to the real Jehovah of the bible and have a close relationship with Him. His name is Jesus Christ. All you have to do is ask him to come into your life and for him to be at the centre of your life. You'll never be alone again. I'll pray for you.
I'm glad I don't take part in any religions. What's the point in them any ways? We're all praising one god. Or a couple others (depends what u believe)
I do not intend on starting a fight or anything, I just don't see the point in religion is all
this is just biased, seriously? Jehovahs witness isn't some kind of cult, i know plenty. I like critical thinking and children arent encouraged, i know a jw and he's been told to wait maybe till his near 30! please stop hating on J.W, study b4 u join but if ur gona study study somting dat dont bias, i respect the vid but i disagree with it.
I was 16 when I was babtized. Later that same year, I was disfellowshiped, re-instated, and I walked away from that cult. I was scorned by the people inside the kingdom hall when I was reinstated with words like "You should have never come back" or "do not ever speak to me". And these were people I hung out with before I left. I have not been back since. Although, I did try. I just cannot live a lie. So I walked away from their cultist religion.
AROUND THEN YEARS AGO AN ELDER TOLD US WHO SPENT HIS VACATION IN CROATIA, THAT HE ATTEND THE CONVENTION THERE WHEN BEING THERE, THAT A BOY AT THE AGE OF 8!!! HAD BEEN BAPTIZED-I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THIS
This video is just wrong, using the watchtower to misguide more people, haven't you read the books of Samuel IN THE BIBLE? he was just a young child, just wined from nursing his mother when he dedicated his life to sirve Jehovah at his temple, Marriage is a different thing it is fleshly and not spiritual, so DO NOT COMPARE baptism with marriage, emotional maturity and spiritual maturity are way to different things. Educate in what the Bilble really teaches, and then you can teach others.
@Chrisrshepherd I did not offend anybody with MY comment,If YOU wanted to make a COMMENT on this video, you CAN DO IT on your own, and stopp bothering others, maybe I'm just waisting my time on replay to you. Are you a Shepherd by name or by action? maybe that is just your name, the name does not make the person.
@DeyaIV "I did NOT offend you"..How the fuck would you know if you've offended me or not? Now that you've brought it up, it is rather offensive that you could watch such a logical, and well reasoned video, and still believe JWs have the "truth"....That's why I think you're an idiot, because you're so brainwashed! Get a life, buttercup.
@njamp77 My God has nothing to do with your disgusting cult! Your cult leads people straight to hell! Btw, John 1.1 is mistranslated in you New World Translation, it should read 'and the word was God'. Furthermore, Christ is Son of the living God, and He is God. He is not the archangel Michael! He died and rose again! There will be more than 144,000 in Heaven, Christ our God Himself said there are many mansions! Blood transfusions do not go against the word of God!
@Menechem Of course YOU have the truth... out of all the 1000's of Christian sects and denominations? Yours is just another take on a badly written book that allows for thousands of different interpretations. It was written in ancient languages and the meanings of the words themselves are argued over by experts! It would be laughable except for the fact that because of religious fanatics many people (Jews, homosexuals, women etc) have suffered and died over the centuries.
@stacyis I happen to be Jewish, not only that I happen to be a Christian. Just because people have done things in the name of religion does not mean that they do it in the name of God almighty. You are very immature for a 43 year old! I go by what the Word of God teaches, you are just a morally corrupt and lost human being as I was before came to faith! Sure I would go to Shul every day (I was Orthodox), but I never sensed the true peace that can only come from the LORD Jesus Christ!
@Menechem Of course they do it in the name of God Almighty! They invoke His name to give them more authority. As for the LORD JESUS, you cant prove that he even existed. All the gospels were written years after Jesus supposedly walked the earth, so they are hearsay at best. You need to chill out mate.. your overuse of exclamation marks and capital letters has you coming across as a fanatic, an immature fanatic.
@stacyis To continue on is pointless. I will say this, you're misconstruing. Yes they callon God's name but the actions go against His will. As per Yeshua's existence, Read gistorical accounts like the Talmud, Josephus as well as other historical records (Christian and non Christian), they will all agree he existed, where they differ is on his Messiahship,Deity, and his resurrection from the grave. You need to study! What caoital Letters, you obviously are ignorant.LORD represents God's sacred name.
I am a devout Mormon and also agree with the JW view on infant baptism. I don't however feel that they are very christian to ignore and shun out disfellowshiped members. Being a mormon in California you see many people come and go from the church. People who have left my church are still my friends. There are mormon parents who have children who have left the church, they don't shun them out of their lives, they love them anyway! What kind of a religion teaches people to shun out their family?
@91MrHollywood What is the Memorial of Christ's Death*? The Memorial is when Jehovah's Witnesses remember the death of Jesus Christ. It is their most important meeting and is held on the evening of the Jewish month of Nisan 14. This year the Memorial of Christ's death will be held on APRIL 17th 2011. You are warmly invited to attend this special memorial celebration. Contact your local KINGDOM HALL of Jehovah's Witnesses for details.
@sunshineuklondon1965 Funny how Jehovah's Witnesses focus on his death, while Christians focus on his resurrection and the implications of that as a wonderful event of proving he was sent by god and that he fulfilled the prophesy of the sacrifice needed to save mankind. Yet jehovah witnesses fell they need to still earn it.
@juxtn Funnier that only Jehovah's Witnesses honour Jesus final wish and do what he commanded while others incorportate pagan easter eggs and Astorethe worship and claim they are pleasing Jesus.
@sunshineuklondon1965 Correct most families like to play fun games with their kids with candy and easter bunny cartoons. However followers of Christ do acknowledge the importance of the resurrection and that does make them distinct from the masses who just focus on the candy and play time. So long as you don't loose the resurrection and the focus on Jesus. Then even having a little candy and playing a few games with your toddler is fine in gods eyes JW's make it into a divisive issue.
@juxtn There is nothing "FUNNY" about Jehovah's Witnesses celebrating a special evening Jesus commanded his disciples to attend-Luke chapter 22. This is the MOST IMPORTANT day to a true disciple. This is a special time to focus on what his sacrifice means to us=the ability to LIVE FOREVER in God's kingdom if we follow Jesus' EVERY command. JW's make more disciples and strive to learn everything about him=Matthew 5:5, 6:9,10, CHAPTER 10, 24:14, 28:19,20, Acts 1:8,5:42, 20:20. ROMANS CHAPTER 10
@91MrHollywood J W's follow the bible VERY CLOSELY.God removes those who are wicked. He removed Adam from the garden of Eden AFTER he sinned. This gives PROOF that God rejects sinners by removing/shunning them!READ Genesis 3:24. Then read Deuternonomy 17:7-clear out what is bad. Deut.13:5-clear out what is evil.Romans 16:17-avoid them. 2Thessalonians 3:14-If anyone is not obedient to OUR WORD through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him.2 John10,11-a sharer in wicked works
A contract should not be Formed between the Society and any Minor! I think this issue should be taken to court and the Society should not be allowed to Baptize children knowing full well that they do not fully comprehend what the repercussions are if they grow up and leave. I think anyone who was born before they were legal should have to get baptized as a Grown Legal Adult in order to enforce their stupid shunning rules & those that do not should NOT be held accountable and shunned by family.
@happie2befree Baptism is a PERSONAL bonding between God and an individual. It is a putting aside of personal desires, and putting God's will first. It is a strong bond. Jesus showed the fine example by getting baptized even though he was sinless. We follow the Christ. If a child WANTS to serve GOD, and can read and write and LEARN the bible, he is capable of making a decison to follow God. It is really up to the individual, and what do courts KNOW about God? They follow MAN'S laws, not God's :(
@eternityandforever Yes it should be, it shouldn't be something that is forced down the throat of a child! The baptism done in the Organization is a contract between that child and the WBTS! If it wasn't families wouldn't SHUN those who were pressured to JOIN the organization then leave because when the grow up they realize they do not believe what this ORGANIZATION TEACHES...The baptism as a witness has nothing to do with God but with the Religion and their GRASP on it's members...cont
@happie2befree 2. The society says don't get married til you're past the bloom of youth, but puts tons of pressure on a child to get baptized. I had no friends, and the reasoning behind it, because I wasn't spiritual enough, I wasn't baptized, I wasn't doing more in the congregation. So I did what I needed to in order to have friends in my life and not be alienated b/c I didn't think my parents would lie to me about something this weighty, but guess what? (con't)
@happie2befree 3. When I became an adult I realized that this organization is full of crap and it's members are too brainwashed to realize it for what it really is. What a sad sad state not only for those who see through the lies and leave only to be shunned for the Biggest, child made decision of their life, but because they can't help their family escape because they won't even look beyond the Society's explanation of things! Baptism in this Organization should not be permitted as a child!!!
Child baptism is right. In fact, three passages of theActs of the Apostles (16:5, 16:33, and 18:81) speak of the baptism of a whole household or family to include infants.
Thank you so much! This brought tears to my eyes. I chose to be baptized at 12 and chose to rebel + be disfellowshipped at 19. I own the choice, but I was raised in the religion and was pressured by my parents because they thought this was best for me. I had no opportunity to compare or know what I do now. Since then I've always questioned how they can encourage this and practice df. I'm passing this along to my sister who is also df and her husband who is interested in joining the religion.
@RachaMacc I left JW's before, too. I researched the bible more and more, trying to sincerely PROVE THEM WRONG. BUT, they are RIGHT!!! They really do follow the Christ and teach everyone they can to follow him and become his disciple :D. Refer to Matthew 4:17, 5:5, 6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14, 28:19,20, Acts 1:8, 5:42, 20:20. READ your bible and you will see that Jehovah's Witnesses are the ONLY faith that is following EXACTLY as per Jesus' clear instructions. We take it serious and TRUE-RESEARCH!
They dedicate themselves to the name; "God's Spirit Directed Organization" then jump in their pool and are fully immersed. . What is the last part of the body to go under the water? . It is either the Forehead or the Hand. . Once that happens the baptism is complete. . You are marked with the name you dedicated yourself to! .
To Jehovah witnesses: You need to please over look what you put your fate to. Ive been there, its your choise. Look i was one of you, i know how you feel truly i do. But we the people who care '' the apostates'' all have made that step to leave the organization. I cant tell you to leave or convert you to leave in anyway as that is not my responsability but all i can say is, Its time. Its time to open your eyes. However, what you chose to make out of your vision is your choise.
@cubanboy740 JW's CHOSE to follow the Christ. If you leave, you are accountable for that decision We follow what the bible says in every way.If someone defames us for following the Christ, they are apostate, pure and simple. If you are against his disciples you are putting yourself against Jesus Christ. We make more disciples and preach EXACTLY as per Jesus' clear instructions. Do more research. I came back when I did-JW's are TRUE DISCIPLES. Matthew 4:17,5:5,6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14,28:19,20.
@eternityandforever Sorry, im not a cult follower, i focus on my apostate family, i love my family and my fiance i have nothing to do with the organiztion anymore, and it's the best dessision we have done in our life's. I dont feel that i need to become a cult follower of any religion, I am now a very open person who does nice things because my heart want's to not because i want benefits from god, I am also very open to other views and religons. But i am an athiest thank's.
u see when u get baptized at a young age like i did at 11 yrs old u have no idea what u get into until u have no birthday parties no christmas no nothing then u realize the mistake u have made...BIG MISTAKE...!!!
@enkforever162 RESEARCH all those 'holidays' which means-"holy days".They are everything but HOLY. They are all lies fabricated to make it easier for 'pagans' to enter into the church of Christ.Jesus said this apostasy would happen after he left=Matthew 7:13-15,22-29,24:11,Acts 20:29,30,2 Peter 2:1-22,1 John 4:1. The real 'BIG MISTAKE' is to celebrate LIES.RESEARCH each holiday and b-days and see what they REALLY are. Check out books on holidays in the library. PREPARE for OPEN EYES=no more LIES
@eternityandforever ha ha research your own organization!!! They are anything BUT HOLY! They are full of lies fabricated to make it easier for judgmental people to control others and their pocketbook. Apostasy=WBTS! RESEARCH the History of your organization and see all of the Pagan origins within. Believe me, they have the blinders over your eyes tight! I hope you do some real research and see what this organization really is! and then PREPARE yourself for OPEN EYES=NO MORE LIES
@epohnopulse If you consider those who research Jesus' EVERY command and LAW and then ACTUALLY follow it as a 'cult', that is YOUR ISSUE.Jehovah's Witnesses adhere to the bible as their authority in following Jesus in every aspect of their lives. We are modern disciples, just as Jesus fortold about us=Matthew 4:17, 5:5,6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14,28:19,20, Acts 1:8,5:42, 20:20. READ THE BIBLE 20 times more than you do now and you will then SEE we are the ONLY ones who are actually following it - :D
@ShunThisAss I was raised Catholic. I had to go to Catholic School everyday for 1st and 2nd grade. I had to listen each day for HOURS on their 'teachings', often boring, but I listened intently at Mass to learn as much as I could about God,while most others were 'sleeping'. I was brough up celebrating LIES of x-mas (is NOT Jesus' b-day), and Halloween (worship the dead), and Easter ( fertility goddess) and all the other LIES of the world. I was ABUSED in every way by relatives. You had it made!!
I was baptized when I was nine (the same time as my brother, who was 11 at the time). and I did this, as far as I can remember, to gain popularity within the congregation. I didn't make a life commitment (how could I, I was 9), or feel any higher calling. I'm sure I was more interested in the ice cream I would receive after the baptism was over. Now I don't have a family. None. Can't talk to my mom because of a crucial decision i made when I was NINE. I still cry often.
@kylev2004 There are many questions to answer "WELL" in order to become a JW.I had a hard time making it at 20! I studied and 7 months later I was baptized a JW. Raised up Catholic, at the age of 6 and 7 I was telling every kid I could ALL I learned at the Catholic School I went to for 1st and 2nd grade. I wanted them to learn about God. I was a 'witness' for the Catholics then. I NOW have the true knowledge of Christ as a JW=Matthew 5:5,6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14, 28:19,29, Acts 1:8, 5:42, 20:20
@kylev2004 YOU had the TRUE understanding of Jesus Christ and you "CRY". I am sorry to hear that.I left the JW's before.I misunderstood some things.I mocked them...after time I missed all the good stuff I was learning, the wonderful feelings of serving God I formerly had. I returned after researching the bible thousands of hours, copying many months the bible off and on for years.I learned that Jehovah's Witnesses are actually the ONLY ones really following the bible! THEY are disciples for real!
If anyone stopping here wants to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses and what they believe - go to their website - can't post it here, but just search for Jehovah's Witnesses or Watchtower.. An abundance of information based on fact, not imagination or bitterness.
@Asoldier1844 Jehovah's Witnesses will NEVER fall. We are true disciples of Jesus Christ. He is behind everything we teach. We study Jesus' EVERY command and law, and then teach it to many others=Matthew 4:17, 5:5, 6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14, 28:19,20, Acts 1:8, 5:42, 20:20, Romans chapter 10. We study many hours each and every week, and really make SURE we follow the Christ=1 Peter 2:21,Hebrews 10:23. We are SLAVES of Jesus Christ our Lord in heaven=Matthew 25:31-46,2 Corinthians 2:17,3:4,5,4:5,
Jw truths got a spiritist medium to translate john 1:1,belonged to UN for 10 yrs, hiding child molesters in congrs.,no more generation of 1914 the # of partakers going up each yr,accepting blood components of whole bld, child baptisms commonplace children want to please parents n be a part of social groups y wouldnt kids feel pressure to do so,the tower catches them young so when they grow up they feel guilted into staying or horrible for leaving, all psychological bullying.pack it up,Im done boys!
@yovanab Following the Christ is 'no bullying'.If the Israelites back in the day didn't follow Moses exactly, they lost their lives. If you don't live life the way the CREATOR intended, you WILL suffer in many ways(Exodus chapter 32).No involvement in UN,all lies to make us look bad.The light of truth gets BRIGHTER, more knowledge the closer we get to God's kingdom (no x-mas since 1935,no cigarettes since 1976). Proverbs 4:18 describes the path of the righteous as gaining insight along the path..
@eternityandforever Jw's follow the watchtower & the wbts is not Christ, nor is it a truthful representation of him.According to u if I dont follow the wbts then I will suffer bcause thats who u believe to b the creators faithful & discreet slave & acts as gods hand here on earth, your a bully! The wbts lies to its members & YES involvement in UN look it up the proof is there on the UN website.U r told only what you need to know and questioning it or reseraching proof is not a choice for you Jws!
"There is NO biblical example of youth baptism." That is correct. Nowhere in the bible is there children being baptized by anyone. Just MEN and WOMEN must get baptized ONLY. This is where the Jehovah's Witnesses are clearly FALSE.
True. The Watchtower doesn't tell you everything. Once you are baptized, the Watchtower controls you and there is no honorable or peaceful way out of the cult. If you leave on your own decision they will treat you no differently than a person who was kicked out and will shun you anyways.
I once saw a bunch of central american jw's baptising each other at the Angeles Crest. And all of a sudden the river just took like 4 motherfuckers, that shit was funny. I later on thought they probably changed their mind and let the river take them.
@Reuben235 There is a reason why they dont give children the right to vote. They could probably make a choice for a political party but do not really understand the implications of their actions. How come a child cannot enter into a legal contract but can surrender his sould to the watchtower society and that be okay?
@YooknowIt Getting baptized is a very special BOND between God and an individual. It is a PROMISE and DEDICATION to serve God. You live your life according to God's loving, righteous and most beneficial ways as stated throughout the bible. There are many deep questions each baptism candidate answers to be baptised. They have a good understanding of WHAT they are doing and WHY.WE make disciples for CHRIST=Matthew 4:17, 5:5, 6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14, 28:19,20, Acts 1:8, 5:42, 20:20, Romans chapter 10
Shunning a child... if nothing else keeps me out of this cult, (and trust me I know just about everything there is to know...) then this would be enough..
May God strike me down if I ever shun my childtren because of what they do or do not believe in.
OK that maybe is to much to ask. I thought a witness would like to witness to me and maybe a few others about the truth but I guess not. all those talks about witnessing must have totlay went over your head. maybe you should talk to an elder about your A.D.D. here is your chance to witness to me. why don't you take the oportunity to? tell us when the end of times is now and why its not from the generation of 1914. I have been out of the JW's for 20 years so maybe I missed the news on it?
Early baptism can be acceptable depending on the motivation behind it. My friend was baptized at the age of 13 and she couldn't wait for it. She goes pioneering with her mother and enjoys the preaching experience. On the other hand, my mother was constantly pressured and nagged by my father to get baptized. She tries to skimp off Bible studies and exaggerates her "preaching" time.
"Early baptism can be acceptable depending on the motivation behind it" -- No it isn't. Letting a child join a so called religion that will run and control their entire lives is wrong. They are making life decisions when they are not old enough to do so. There are reasons why kids are not allowed to enter into contract...and even Jesus who your cult says it follows, waited until he was 30 years old.
They make you take a test really, you don't just go right ahead . and this test is to show how much your willing and crap.
I don't get why people hate on them tho?
In a whole they are probably the nicest Christians out there.. they always do charity work, rebuild homes after disasters, and house people in crisis. Who care about their beliefs I became a good person because of this religion.
"They make you take a test really, you don't just go right ahead " -- Wow...a test huh? - I bet a lot of nine year old's could pass a driving test also, but do we allow them to get drivers licenses?...Do we allow them to enter into contract?...buy booze?....become doctors or EMT's?
Lol you jesus dick sucking faggot, lick your own religions ass and dont bitch about others. This only proves your willing to start a conflict because of some fictional crap... Take your head out of your ass my friend :)
If you do not understand the point I was trying to make regarding being old enough to make life decisions, then you are as dumb as any other JW I have ever met.
The number has nothing to do with it...two things...percentage wise, 7 mil is still a fringe group, and secondly, they do indeed meet the standards for not only a cult, but a high control cult.
Also, counted in that 7 million, are those that (like me) have not been to a meeting in years and years, and do not even consider themselves JW's anymore....they just never sent a letter, and were never disfellowshipped. - You know, the only reason why many even pretend to still be a JW, is just so their families and so called friends will not shun them.
its not a cult its an organized religion and JW's are not any way the same as mormons and im pretty sure you know that just like you knew about the 7,000,00 million members world wide!
I remember the test. what a joke. three questions i believe a couple of meetings with the elders and voila your baptised. Any 9 year old could learn it. drill the answers into a monkeys head for a few years and he would get it.
o really, last time i checked there were almost 100 questions to answer and for all of yous information jehovah's witnesses are against baptizing children unlike other religions who baptize kids at like 3 years old now thats ridiculous and no4go2, getting baptized is a personal choice and if you got baptized and now you regret it thats really your fualt now is it, so stop spreading lies cause you know it wont do you any good!
no three questions were asked a silly little discusion followed that. So stop trying to defend this CULT with the ridiculus propaganda they shove down your unwitting throat. I don't regret getting baptised when did I say that? I don't regret watching bugs bunny cartoons either they mean about the same to god and less to me.
i f there were 3 little quesions then you just got the wrong religion dude. in the little green book titled"organized" there are more than just three little questions. and i know u didnt say you regreted it but you sure seem talk like you do and aain its not a cult its a organized religion so shove that down your throat bud! got anything else to say?!?!
ugh ya I got the right cult. It is a cult it. three questions a few hours of discusion and voila go get dunked. for me to regret being baptised would imply it meant somthing. It means nothing to get dunked in the water by some elder of a cult. meant nothing to memeant nothing to god.
hey how come no one will tell me what the new flip on 1914 is? Have you actualy researched how many times they have changed the end date? its how a cult keeps you in THE END IS NEAR we are your only hope.
what it is suposed to read is it meant nothing to me and it meant nothing to god.
and since you are obviously still stuck in this cult this is all veary hard for you to accept. don't be a coward research what these sites claim about the JW's. indipendent research. oh wait your not supposed to, cults don't like you looking for the facts on them.
so I guess I did have somthing else to say and you can shove that down your throat bud.
you are so desperately trying to thrash this RELIGION and no its not very hard to hear because we all know people like you exist, people who live there lives as apostates giving fake testimony to anyone and everyone and those sites that your referring to are also created by apostates so no point made or nothing shoved down my throat. i will never hate anyone even if they do leave the truth i just hope you think hard on what this world really is sex, drugs, and ambitious money hungry people.
if it meant nothing to you why did you do it? and if it doesnt mean anything to GOD please tell me what GOD really wants. cause as far as i know JW's are doing everything that GOD wants and im 100% sure because it comes straight from the bible.
why such anger by the way? that I know the answer to. I'll tell you why your angry. because these questions are in the back of your mind and it's starting to bug you so what you do is strike out at anyone who tells you the real truth.
where in the bible does it say what parts of the blood you can use? and yet they have guidlines concerning this? what is the new flip on 1914? 1915 1916 1918-1920 1975? Probaly not familiar with these dates are you. ya they kind of gloss over them.
whos angry? i just feel bad for anyone who leaves jehovahs organization. and if youve been out for twenty years maybe its time to find a good hobby and leave everyone else(who is still faithfull) in peace. and you do not have the real truth or anyone else but GOD so your just playing with yourself.
sounded kind of pissy to me. so maybe you should look deeper into the cult your in and stop this foolish game of denial your caught up in. still havn't told me the latest spin on the 1914 thing. or have they decided thats not the date?
why won't you do your job and witness to me? show me the error of my ways. or is this cult your in hiding anothe secret?
obviously 1914 is the year jesus was placed as king in heaven alongside side with jehovah GOD. why bother trying to convince you your mind is apparently set. an i am in denial of anything what i believe in i back up 110% without doubts because we all know that all the promises, prophecies, and happenings that the bible mention happen at their given time. patience is key, as imperfect humans we might ask our selves: well, when will jehovah bring Armageddon, etc? but it not our place to question GOD.
This generation will not pass away, was the battle cry. yes this system was supposed to be done with gone ended. or this generation will not pass away before jesus was put on the throne? or was he put on the throan in 1914? can't have it both way's.
don't worry about small things like forgetting the NOT in the denial statement. you may think I am an ignorant appostate but will not jump on little thngs like that.
the big question here is what is the relevence of the statement of this generation will not pass away.
See now your witnesing. getting better results and as long as you try for a mature conversation I will refrain from cult comments and such. sound fair?
AND no there is no secrets you would know this if you assisted the meetings because apparently youve been out for 20 years do you think i would even be associating with JW's if i knew they were hiding something you may not know me but i have a very good judgment and of all the time ive been in this religion nothing has made me doubt what ive been learning.
So tell me briefly what is the new stand on 1914? or do you know? I don't hate jw's i feel sorry for them. as for them following the bible 100% they can't because they have it 95% wrong. Why did I get baptised? because at the time I believed in what they were teaching. As for the sex and drugs thing buddy if you don't think its going on inside this cult your totaly blind. besides I am not trying to trash this cult I am trashing this cult. doing a good job of it :)
So what? Does this make it OK when they let 9 year old do it....and this happens all the time. - There was never a convention I went to, where you did not see children signing up with this cult.
dubbeltid...you're telling me that a 12yr old child can make a "conscience" decision just as a 20yr old? If that's the case, let them drive a car, work a job, pay taxes, IOW, let the little runts do what adults do. If they can 'work' spiritually, why not secular?
Wait a mintue ? Jws dont baptize young children like the churches to. The childs can only be baptized if they are old enough to ahve a full udnerstanding of what they are doing...
Another propagande/hoax video using minequoting to make the jw look like a cult ? Can't the losers making this vid find something more productive to do ?
We dont force children to become jw. We encourrage them and if they didnt know enough about their baptism when they got baptized it will be invalid =/
Young ones can not be baptized unless they are fully understanding what they are doing. If they didnt when they got baptized their baptism will be invalid (Happend to my uncle when he took drugs)
I think this vid is nonsence. Of course there are 12 years old with 19 years mind and 18 years with 10 years mind. The JW does their best to make sure young ones and adult getting baptized understand their descisssion.
So what we are doing with children is not wrong at all.
Sarai217, you were 'baptized" at 10????? Who in their right mind would justify that?! Obviously, they weren't Boy, talk about being desperate for members.
I answered all the questions correctly so i did have 'a full understanding' as they call it. I was often put on stage at assemblies to talk about my ''experiences''. the fact that i'd gotten baptised so early was often applauded and used as an example to others. I had full knowledge and was very active. But it was too young to make a lifetime commitment. A lot of these kids do end up leaving at 18 anyway so it's worth re-evaluating.
no JW children are surronded by your video's you think thois is ta first video ever to be made by people like you? we know wat happens outside of tha world coz we live in it go to skool in it.why do you think people choose to leave nt becoz they loved wat was outside of JW thats it.secondly i hv watched people like you go to write tha same things lies!.i want you to take a camra and put a JW on one side and you than let tha people decide who has tha truth
Witness children are raised in an loving enviroment. We act like we are very mature, and thats why we are able to get baptised at the age of 9, and etc. We know how to act and be mature.
I was baptized at 26, and I regret it, I knew nothing only what they "allowed" me to research ( can you say armegedon will get you). it took me till I was 35 to finally break free from the mind control.
It's funny, after watching this video of a person that obviously has some personal issues with Jehovah's Witnesses and has nothing better to do with his time I went to related videos and there are so many baptism videos of children and most if not all of them are from other faiths. So why not just make a general video about all religions not to mention the large amount that baptize their infants.
jehovah's whitnesses aren't pushed to be baptised young btw. I'm a happy jehovahs whitness with a 15 year old sister who isn't baptised and is also happy. this 'information' is definately misconstrued.
Thank you! I was baptized at 16 (I had just turned 16), mainly to please my parents and to copy what my friends did. I had NO IDEA what I was committing to.
I have been inactive for years, and wish I hadn't made that choice. I would never have chosen to become a Witness if I'd had other beliefs to freely choose from.
Child baptism is right. In fact, three passages of theActs of the Apostles (16:5, 16:33, and 18:81) speak of the baptism of a whole household or family to include infants.
@ignatiusofantioch2 theres nothing wrong with being baptized, but when your baptized into the jws your stuck there,if you decide you like a girl and you have sex with her and you decide to stay with her.youl be disfellowshipped, you could be 13 years of age or younger. Is it right for a 13 year old to lose association with his whole family and be shunned by all his friends?would jesus do that to him?
@guydudeman100 I was disfellowshipped too and really felt the intense BURN of pain it causes. But you would only be pained if you were sorry the way I was. That was 23 years ago. I NOW know the reason I was shunned is because I BROKE God's righteous and good laws! The more you research the bible you will truly understand that God has to keep those who practice bad behavior AWAY from his CLEAN and HOLY people-Genesis 3:24,Deuternonomy 17:7.Deut.13:5, Romans 16:17,2Thessalonians 3:14,2 John10,11.
@guydudeman100 Jesus Christ said a man will stick to his 'wife' and become one flesh. If you took the time to WAIT and make her your 'wife' first, then you wouldn't have had a problem. The problem was,you were selfish and didn't WAIT.If we want to serve God we must be willing to WAIT for things no matter HOW LONG it takes.Genesis 2:24,24:58,Mark 10:6-12.Jehovah's Witnesses take God's word as LAW.It is the WAY to live life. Most of the world doesn't follow Jesus for serious like the bible says to...
@eternityandforever first of all,i didnt do that,so dont judge me like that just because you have a habit of hooking up with abusive men and thats why you look to the watchtower for protection.ive seen this happen to young jws tho,and im not condoning fornication. But I know the way the watchtower deals with it especially youths,is not the way jesus did.Jesus would never command an entire congregation of ppl to shun a child,he would rebuke him and say he who is without sin cast the first stone.
@RelicRob the qwestion is do they understand and have knowledge to make the choise !!!if u baptise babies can not be better lol and the watchtower is very good explaining about this thematik im shure this childrens hat a better bible knowledge than the most 50 year old other members of christianik churches! sorry for my english
This happened a lot in my area it was almost like a competition. The JW baptism procedure is ridiculous. I was baptised young, then found out that a lot of the history of the society was rubbish, but too late, I was already baptised. What a trap!
I hate that people assume that we have to get baptized at a certain age. its a choice that is all yours. And the marriage thing, Oh my gosh! The reason they say that is so that we stay single and focus on our worship of Jehovah. The bible says at 1 cor. 7:32 the unmarried man is anxious for the lord. The man who made this video is an apostate and is slandering the organization.
I managed to put off baptism until 13. Then my parents cornered me with this "don't you love Jehovah?" reasoning I couldn't argue with. When the time for baptism came, my parents hadn't arrived at the pool (the assembly hall didn't have one, so they rented one at a nearby high school), and I was, kinda relieved in a way. At least nobody would see it.
Unfortunately, the guy baptizing me recognized that my parents weren't here yet, and made we wait until they arrived. That was a weird day.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."
The whole household would be baptized. I'm sure there was at least one young child or an infant in that household. The verse does not say, your household except infants & children. NO it does NOT say that.
Acts 16:15 "And after she was baptized, and her household as well,.."
Her whole household was baptized. I don't see anything in this verse that says no infants & children.
georgiahuff, you completely disregard my comment and the Scripture passages that I put in my comment. Read my comment again, and the read it again. But this time, have an open heart & mind. And there's no need for the "complete moron" comment either. Not that it bothers me. I rejoice instead!! I only say to avoid name calling for your own sake. May God have mercy on your soul.
No I didn't disregard it, I recognized that anyone with intelligence would know that it proves nothing... where does the scripture say there were children in the household? You do recognize the fact that there are many homes with no children don't you?Are you a Christ follower? At what age was he baptized? You are part of a cult which uses this symbol to entrap people in it.Simple question, do you actually think your scripture proves children were baptized? If it doesn't how does it prove anything?
Where does the scripture say that there were NO children in those households. More than likely, there were children there and some with infants.
Most of the people who were baptized in the bible were NEW converts so of course they were adults. But along with those adults, their whole household were baptized, which could have included infants.

Jehovah is the BEST FATHER :D
eternityandforever 3 months ago
@bluemime86 I was brought up Catholic. At Catholic school, EVERDAY we heard hours of 'religious teachings'. Many children got bored. Many fell asleep during the daily Mass. I was right up front, using all my power to pay attention, and learn as much about God as I could.I would tell other kids about what I was learning. I wanted them to love God and know him, too. When a person is passionate about something and APPRECIATES it's value, they can't HELP but share it with others :D. I am now a proud JW!
eternityandforever 3 months ago
@bluemime86 Christianity is NO SUPERSTITION. It is PURE FACT: 1) We keep track of TIME (2011) from the time of Jesus' birth. 2) No other man has influenced or shaped people's lives like Jesus has. Even thousands of years later, many yearn to know him, he is the most FAMOUS MAN ever! 3) The bible describes ACCURATELY how the earth was made. Scientists are NOW discovering all things had an 'INTELLIGENT DESIGN'. Things just don't 'POP' out of nowhere. Alot of effort is made to construct ANYTHING.

who is man to say and oppose the privilege of child of getting baptize under gods privilege, when a child commits murder dont we say he nows right from wrong!therefore let he with free will chose his own course of life, I can't believe people would have the intention to shun a child the privileges of serving god rather then soluting a nationalist flag and pledging an allegance to that. satan you make me sick!!!!
ansermam 4 months ago
@ansermam The youngest Jehovah's Witnesses I've heard of getting baptized was 9. Usually I see them get baptized at around 12.I think by then they have a broader concept of the world around us and can really GRASP the meaning of becoming a true disciple of Jesus. The bible never mentions children getting baptized, but rather PEOPLE walking into the Jordan river or other bodies of water. A 'sprinkling' or 'pouring' of water over the head of an infant is not letting the child decide, but is ritual.

It would be laughable except for the fact that because of religious fanatics many people (Jews, homosexuals, women etc) have suffered and died over the centuries.
stacyis 9 months ago
@stacyis I happen to be Jewish, not only that I happen to be a Christian. Just because people have done things in the name of religion does not mean that they do it in the name of God almighty. You are very immature for a 43 year old! I go by what the Word of God teaches, you are just a morally corrupt and lost human being as I was before came to faith! Sure I would go to Shul every day (I was Orthodox), but I never sensed the true peace that can only come from the LORD Jesus Christ!
Menechem 9 months ago

Yet jehovah witnesses fell they need to still earn it.
juxtn 9 months ago
@juxtn Funnier that only Jehovah's Witnesses honour Jesus final wish and do what he commanded while others incorportate pagan easter eggs and Astorethe worship and claim they are pleasing Jesus.
Funny indeed.
sunshineuklondon1965 9 months ago

@happie2befree valid legal point, never thought from the legal point of view. thanks.

They follow MAN'S laws, not God's :(
eternityandforever 3 months ago
@eternityandforever Yes it should be, it shouldn't be something that is forced down the throat of a child! The baptism done in the Organization is a contract between that child and the WBTS! If it wasn't families wouldn't SHUN those who were pressured to JOIN the organization then leave because when the grow up they realize they do not believe what this ORGANIZATION TEACHES...The baptism as a witness has nothing to do with God but with the Religion and their GRASP on it's members...cont
happie2befree 3 months ago

We study many hours each and every week, and really make SURE we follow the Christ=1 Peter 2:21,Hebrews 10:23. "There is NO biblical example of youth baptism." That is correct. Nowhere in the bible is there children being baptized by anyone. Just MEN and WOMEN must get baptized ONLY. This is where the Jehovah's Witnesses are clearly FALSE.
filmbuff98 2 years ago
True. The Watchtower doesn't tell you everything. Once you are baptized, the Watchtower controls you and there is no honorable or peaceful way out of the cult. If you leave on your own decision they will treat you no differently than a person who was kicked out and will shun you anyways.
filmbuff98 2 years ago
I once saw a bunch of central american jw's baptising each other at the Angeles Crest. And all of a sudden the river just took like 4 motherfuckers, that shit was funny. I later on thought they probably changed their mind and let the river take them.

if you can make your mind up you have the right to do it if you wish noone gets pushed into it
a ten year old can make a decision if they believe it is right and if they understand what theyre doing why stop them?
Reuben235 2 years ago
@Reuben235 There is a reason why they dont give children the right to vote. They could probably make a choice for a political party but do not really understand the implications of their actions.

ElusiveElixe 2 years ago
"Early baptism can be acceptable depending on the motivation behind it" -- No it isn't. Letting a child join a so called religion that will run and control their entire lives is wrong. They are making life decisions when they are not old enough to do so. There are reasons why kids are not allowed to enter into contract...and even Jesus who your cult says it follows, waited until he was 30 years old.

Never...
But I will tell you different congregation do it differently.
I came from a spanish one and well hispanics were serious on their religion.
But you must admit your question was quite stupid....
You know why we don't let children do those things.
And I think its better to have a better concise before you get your self into things.
But i'm done with religion I have no need to believe in such things, you never see other animals worshipping, why should we?
VeryInteresting2day 2 years ago
If you do not understand the point I was trying to make regarding being old enough to make life decisions, then you are as dumb as any other JW I have ever met.
EMTecBOB 2 years ago
Yea I get your point. Children shouldn't be be allowed into something that will the will change their lives. Yea I get ya.
I thought you were using sarcasm to be honest.
As for you calling it a cult?
I think that was a dumb blow.
A cult does not have over 7,000,000 Members last time I checked.
JW's are just like Mormons.... just putting that out there...
VeryInteresting2day 2 years ago
The number has nothing to do with it...two things...percentage wise, 7 mil is still a fringe group, and secondly, they do indeed meet the standards for not only a cult, but a high control cult.
EMTecBOB 2 years ago
Also, counted in that 7 million, are those that (like me) have not been to a meeting in years and years, and do not even consider themselves JW's anymore....they just never sent a letter, and were never disfellowshipped. - You know, the only reason why many even pretend to still be a JW, is just so their families and so called friends will not shun them.
EMTecBOB 2 years ago
its not a cult its an organized religion and JW's are not any way the same as mormons and im pretty sure you know that just like you knew about the 7,000,00 million members world wide!
macoricio 2 years ago

no4go2 2 years ago
o really, last time i checked there were almost 100 questions to answer and for all of yous information jehovah's witnesses are against baptizing children unlike other religions who baptize kids at like 3 years old now thats ridiculous and no4go2, getting baptized is a personal choice and if you got baptized and now you regret it thats really your fualt now is it, so stop spreading lies cause you know it wont do you any good!
macoricio 2 years ago
no three questions were asked a silly little discusion followed that. So stop trying to defend this CULT with the ridiculus propaganda they shove down your unwitting throat. I don't regret getting baptised when did I say that? I don't regret watching bugs bunny cartoons either they mean about the same to god and less to me.
no4go2 2 years ago
i f there were 3 little quesions then you just got the wrong religion dude. in the little green book titled"organized" there are more than just three little questions. and i know u didnt say you regreted it but you sure seem talk like you do and aain its not a cult its a organized religion so shove that down your throat bud! got anything else to say?!?!
macoricio 2 years ago
ugh ya I got the right cult.
Have you actualy researched how many times they have changed the end date? its how a cult keeps you in THE END IS NEAR we are your only hope.
no4go2 2 years ago
what it is suposed to read is it meant nothing to me and it meant nothing to god.
and since you are obviously still stuck in this cult this is all veary hard for you to accept. don't be a coward research what these sites claim about the JW's. indipendent research. oh wait your not supposed to, cults don't like you looking for the facts on them.
so I guess I did have somthing else to say and you can shove that down your throat bud.
no4go2 2 years ago
you are so desperately trying to thrash this RELIGION and no its not very hard to hear because we all know people like you exist, people who live there lives as apostates giving fake testimony to anyone and everyone and those sites that your referring to are also created by apostates so no point made or nothing shoved down my throat. i will never hate anyone even if they do leave the truth i just hope you think hard on what this world really is sex, drugs, and ambitious money hungry people.
macoricio 2 years ago
if it meant nothing to you why did you do it? and if it doesnt mean anything to GOD please tell me what GOD really wants. cause as far as i know JW's are doing everything that GOD wants and im 100% sure because it comes straight from the bible.
macoricio 2 years ago
why such anger by the way? that I know the answer to.
Probaly not familiar with these dates are you. ya they kind of gloss over them.
no4go2 2 years ago
whos angry? i just feel bad for anyone who leaves jehovahs organization. and if youve been out for twenty years maybe its time to find a good hobby and leave everyone else(who is still faithfull) in peace. and you do not have the real truth or anyone else but GOD so your just playing with yourself.
macoricio 2 years ago
sounded kind of pissy to me. so maybe you should look deeper into the cult your in and stop this foolish game of denial your caught up in. still havn't told me the latest spin on the 1914 thing. or have they decided thats not the date?
why won't you do your job and witness to me? show me the error of my ways. or is this cult your in hiding anothe secret?
no4go2 2 years ago
obviously 1914 is the year jesus was placed as king in heaven alongside side with jehovah GOD. why bother trying to convince you your mind is apparently set. an i am in denial of anything what i believe in i back up 110% without doubts because we all know that all the promises, prophecies, and happenings that the bible mention happen at their given time. patience is key, as imperfect humans we might ask our selves: well, when will jehovah bring Armageddon, etc? but it not our place to question GOD.
macoricio 2 years ago
i meant "i am NOT in denial".
macoricio 2 years ago
This generation will not pass away, was the battle cry. yes this system was supposed to be done with gone ended. or this generation will not pass away before jesus was put on the throne? or was he put on the throan in 1914? can't have it both way's.
don't worry about small things like forgetting the NOT in the denial statement. you may think I am an ignorant appostate but will not jump on little thngs like that.
no4go2 2 years ago
the big question here is what is the relevence of the statement of this generation will not pass away.
See now your witnesing. getting better results and as long as you try for a mature conversation I will refrain from cult comments and such. sound fair?
no4go2 2 years ago
AND no there is no secrets you would know this if you assisted the meetings because apparently youve been out for 20 years do you think i would even be associating with JW's if i knew they were hiding something you may not know me but i have a very good judgment and of all the time ive been in this religion nothing has made me doubt what ive been learning.

We encourrage them and if they didnt know enough about their baptism when they got baptized it will be invalid =/
dubbeltid 2 years ago
I wish some adult had said this to me when i got baptised at 10.
Sarai217 2 years ago
Young ones can not be baptized unless they are fully understanding what they are doing. If they didnt when they got baptized their baptism will be invalid (Happend to my uncle when he took drugs)
I think this vid is nonsence. Of course there are 12 years old with 19 years mind and 18 years with 10 years mind. The JW does their best to make sure young ones and adult getting baptized understand their descisssion.
So what we are doing with children is not wrong at all.
dubbeltid 2 years ago
Sarai217, you were 'baptized" at 10????? Who in their right mind would justify that?! Obviously, they weren't Boy, talk about being desperate for members.
poconoporker 2 years ago
I answered all the questions correctly so i did have 'a full understanding' as they call it. I was often put on stage at assemblies to talk about my ''experiences''. the fact that i'd gotten baptised so early was often applauded and used as an example to others. I had full knowledge and was very active. But it was too young to make a lifetime commitment. A lot of these kids do end up leaving at 18 anyway so it's worth re-evaluating.

It's funny, after watching this video of a person that obviously has some personal issues with Jehovah's Witnesses and has nothing better to do with his time I went to related videos and there are so many baptism videos of children and most if not all of them are from other faiths. Child baptism is right. In fact, three passages of theActs of the Apostles (16:5, 16:33, and 18:81) speak of the baptism of a whole household or family to include infants.
ignatiusofantioch2 1 year ago
@ignatiusofantioch2 theres nothing wrong with being baptized, but when your baptized into the jws your stuck there,if you decide you like a girl and you have sex with her and you decide to stay with her.youl be disfellowshipped, you could be 13 years of age or younger. Is it right for a 13 year old to lose association with his whole family and be shunned by all his friends?would jesus do that to him?
guydudeman100 1 year ago

I was baptized as a JW when I was 21, but that was still too soon. I had no idea what a bunch of old control freaks the Watchtower Society is.

Well I am 15, I baptized a while ago, and I feel like the happiest girl on earth.

Jesus was 30 years old when he was baptized you complete moron... you are supposed to follow Christ not a stupid organization.

georgiahuff, you completely disregard my comment and the Scripture passages that I put in my comment.
