You never know what might happen. Look at ISU! Who would have thought? It's gonna' take Pelini another 2 or 3 years to get Callahan's players out and his own players he recruited for his system in and playing. It's not fair to judge Pelini or Nebraska just yet. The future looks great with Green and Robinson in the backfield. The defense is solid. The kicking game is good. The offense will come around in time. But probably not this year. Saturday's game could be an ugly one, I'm afraid.

I have to admit that as a die-hard I gave Callahan the benefit of the doubt for a LONG time. Looking back, he might not have been that bad, but his keeping Cosgrove around was the team's undoing. The offense was inconsistent, but the D was FUCKIN TERRIBLE!

huskers didnt sign callahan to an extension, Pederson signed him, then extended his own contract. Pederson screwed NU money wise, we had to buyout both contracts to get rid of them both. An expensive cost it was, but we will make up for it. Truthfully we almost lost to baylor this year, and they are getting better. but i dont think you guys will beat us next year.

No, youre proving my point. The best players were Stoops' recruits such as Heupel etc. The half that were recruited by Blake would have gone about 6-5 without Stoops upgrading the talent. Give Pelini a couple years. Jesus Christ. It's his first year still playing with Billy's recruits. For fuck sake change isn't going to happen "overnight". Last time I checked, going 8-4 (possibly 9-4,pending bowl game) on a first year isn't bad. We got recruits coming in. I say in 2-3 years, we'll be back in at least top 10.

Agreed. He's still using Callahan's and Cosgrove's faithfuls. Even though they're not all bad, its tough for them to get a whole new coaching staff and style after being recruited by Callahan and company. A few years to iron out the wrinkles and we're back in business.

Well, Colorado definately doesn't have any room to talk this year, I just think Nebraska will have to get rid of Callahn before they start seeing major progress. Nebraska dumb ass doesnt play baylor this year nor did we last year why? CUZ THEY ARE NOT IN THE SAME DIVISION BAYLOR IS SOUTH WITH OU, TEXAS, ETC.. By the way we play USC, NEVADA, Wake Forest all nonconference and all played in bowl games. Then we play IN missouri and Texas this year. This is not some red river shootout the stadium will be packed with texas fans and will be Nebraska's 2nd toughest game 1st going to USC even though we will be in memorial stadium for that game.

No, youre proving my point. The best players were Stoops' recruits such as Heupel etc. The half that were recruited by Blake would have gone about 6-5 without Stoops upgrading the talent. Not that it matters because Stoops has won a bunch of games since then, including 4 or 5 over NU, 3 or 4 big 12 championships, BCS bowls and on and on.
