  • I went to the one in Chicago and it was amazing. Good thing my dad reads the newspaper or else I wouldn't have gotten to meet him. There weren't many kids my age (17) down there, haha.

  • such a cool idea

  • that was awesome, i'll make a list of questions just in case i pass a physicist on the corner.

  • Thats a great idea. What yould he say if we ask : What is time?

  • hehe i saw that dude today for our field trip

    hes funny(:

    we went to the fermilab

    cool trip

  • well guess what, he's going to be my professor!

  • time is not real, it is a human perception - look up Carl Brock Sides - Is Time Real? on google. Anyways before the BIG BANG? well for starters the big bang theory is false. So was there a black void before the big bang? if so what was this void? what created it? why call it a void why not janfnquw3r9qjr? what caused the singularity to appear? what causes human consciousness? Does the universe take up all space (unlimited), in fact what is space? how big could our universe, multiverse be? :I

  • dunno must be god lol

let's not waste our time trying to figure it out

  • i dont believe in the big bang for several reasons.

we talk about gravity as a force which attracts things to the centre of the earth, well what attracts gravity itself to the centre of the earth and what attracts that thing which attracts gravity to the centre of the earth. can gravity be explained as a gas? liquid? solid?, if gravity can be reversed can we reverse the big bang. what if we revered time, would we speed up gravity and therefore the big bang?

  • you're thinking about it completely wrong. gravity is not a physical being. gravity is NOT attracted to anything. gravity IS the attraction between things. Force of is present between every object in the universe. At this moment you are attracted to your keyboard, and your keyboard attracted to you. Gravity is the force of attraction BETWEEN TWO objects. the attraction is given by F= (Gm1m2)/r^2 G is a constant and m1/m2 is the mass of the each objects.

  • continuing from that, gravitational attraction is a force measured in newtons. (when you solve for force mass and distance cancel out leaving Newtons) Basically you are trying to relate two things that don't relate. gravity isn't something that itself can be attracted to anything. So simply it like saying 0=1. It just a relation that is impossible. You either agree or disagree but i hope i shed some light on it. If you know something I don't please tell.

  • I agree he never explained what the fuck a nucleus was in terms of atoms i.e. is it like a cell nucleus. I also realised alot of physicists can't ever explain things properly. i believe physics is a language and one must memorise it, it's not like the other sciences where you can understand. with physics you have to i gues, accept it.

  • physics explain loooooooots of stuff. every engineering and science related stuff( all technology ,computer etc) is explained by physics. yet there are always questions you can't answer , chemistry is about the realtions of elements, microchips are about incredibly small circuits , phyics is about all of them

  • very interesting, why dont more street corners have physicists on them?

  • this was awesome; more of Lederman!

  • Didn't explain much about strong force, did he? "comes from the nucleus" after having just explained that the nucleus is composed of other particles isn't quite enough to get his point.

  • it's either complicated or not known .yet :P

  • Nothing good has ever come from science. Religion is the only path to truth. Religion gave us the automobile, television, and the internet. What has science ever produced? NOTHING. Religion put a man on the moon, cured polio and small pox, and gave us the jet airplane. Science couldn't even keep Terri Schiavo alive once religious life support was withdrawn.

  • yeah i remember this one time i wanted a car so i prayed and i got a car, prove that stupid science...

  • i liked the explaination of

    "time before the big bang"

  • the singularity dude looked pretty confused.

  • Encore!

  • I have to say, some of them were pretty good at humoring physicists.

  • that was cool

  • Excellent. More, please.

  • wow, the great force.... Nice

  • great video .. love the concept, hope you post more like this.

  • Yes, now if I can only get the world's gravity and space together then I'd make energy faster nice ^_^

  • Wow, thats briliant

  • Nice, I would like to meet a Nobel Prize Winner at my street corner :)

  • i can come to your street corner, but only if you give me 100 bucks for it.
