  • I actually despise our Rb in the QB costume. Tate forcier shouldve been given better chances.

  • The Michigan fan looks at the Ohio Statefan and says"We're going to beat you"the Ohio State fan holds up the Michigan flag that has the big "M"on it turns it up side down and says Wichigan(wish again)...

  • Jonathon wells is dirty

  • Go Bucks; Beat Michigan!

  • Since the beginning of the millenium...

    Michigan 1

    Ohio State 8

  • @hailtovictorsbaby: enjoy the one man show for now. Dennard is that team and everyone knows it. As he goes so goes the team. 3 of the top 5 qbs in the Big 10? You have one and what else?

  • @mitchdfla starting qbs are usually pretty important to the team. great backs and receivers also with the secondary, which was hurt all season and missed it last year, coming back troy woolfolk and he should help, so michigan has a lot of talent but it was very ignored the past 3 years by the rodster who was denard crazy and wore the kid out. should be a better game this year with hopefully michian winning but well see. go blue.

  • @MrDrugist Good grief, I didn't mean to sound so mean spirited. Gotta love the rivalry, right?

  • @mitchdfla u didnt sound mean, as he goes the team goes is true (somewhat) because havent seen gardner yet and i personally think hes more equipt for a pro offense so he might end up taking denards job. im not denard crazy personally as a lot of my fellow um fans are, but im willing to be patient this year cus i know it wont be pretty at times. but yea hopefully the rivalry heats up again because it hasnt been that great lately.

  • Michigan just groaned when they found out they'll still have to play Ohio State every year despite the realignment.

  • Jim Tressel is to Michigan what Lloyd Carr was to John Cooper and OSU in the 1990s.

  • The quality of the OSU team is high. The quality of the video? Thanks for posting though~ GO BUCKS~!

  • That was the best game I ever went to.

  • I liked Spero Dedes' call of this game. Memories of something great.

  • 57-43-6

GOT SOME CATCHING UP TO DO cOck SUckers!

    GO BLUE!

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby Congrats...you won a lot of games between 1897-1951. Since then, OSU has the advantage. You guys were really good when leather helmets were "in". Good luck in 2010.

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby

    57-43-6

Yeah well 9 years ago is was 56-35-6.

and in 15 years it'll probably be 57-58-6 with Rich Rod at the helm.

  • @JSSTyger

yeah RR is a terrible coach, It's a shame he has the leading heisman candidate on the roster, it's also a shame that Terrelle Pryor is sitting in 4th. Too bad for TP he's sitting in the wrong offense! GO BLUE!

    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee're baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby We Buckeyes know you are all desperately looking for any shred of hope you can find…but getting all jacked the fuck up over narrowly beating I-AA UMass by 5 points is a new low for Michigan fans. If OSU beat UMass by 5 points after the defense gave up 37 I GUARANTEE you none of us would be talking shit. There were so many OSU fans in the big house last fall I didn't know if it was a home game. That would NEVER happen in our house. Have fun getting your hymen ripped again.

  • @mkultraviolent

Bla bla bla, we have the best offense in the Big 10, and we have 3 of the top 5 QB's in the Big 10, we're fine...Better prepare for Denard now. Oh yeah, his knee is fine, I love when the media exaggerates stories!

    GOOOOOOOOO BLUEEEEEEEEEE

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby 2,565 days and counting. Children have been conceived and learned to talk since the scum weasels last bested the Buckeyes. Have fun in the Insight Bowl. F U C K M E E C H I G A N

  • @mkultraviolent

Have fun in...oh wait, I doubt you guys will be allowed in a bowl for awhile...lol

  • @Hail2TheVictorsBaby Your back because uve faced 5 cup cake teams now one being a 1 aa team that u barly beat and another that has the worst defense in the country yup u guize are back same thing could be said last year when u barly beat indiana and got smoked the rest of the year not winning one game id have to agree you guys are def back

  • I was at this game.

    GO BLUE!

  • Yea and you lost! GO BUCKEYES

  • scUM is dead.........

  • Yeah, how'd that work for you last year? 42-0?

  • Oh, teamlilly, you keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night. Remember, you're so happy to be rid of Lllllloyd, but you didn't think he was so bad when Coop was our coach. Only time will tell about Rodriguez, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket. I just don't think scUM has the athletes to compete this year...

  • READ THIS AND WEEP MICHIGAN: This GAME was the BEGINNING OF THE END of Michigan Football FOREVER! Since this game: OSU is 7-1 vs. Michigan. OSU has 1 National Championship, 2 Runner-Up in Nat'l. Championships. One Heisman Trophy. Michigan better get used to being the next NOTRE DAME! GO BUCKS!

  • yeah no, nice try every year can't be perfect and we'll beat OSU again and getting a new coach opening day was good looking and he's got to build up his team here. we'll be back to greatness soon and the Illini, suck even more.

  • same dude. and hey we have almost the same username! the 90s was michigan's time to own ohio state. 2000's was osu's turn. Its our turn again in 2010 :) actually i just said that cuz it rymed but i hope actually its our turn in 2009

  • th eproblem with that is the talent desparity between these teams now and the future ohio state top 5 recuiting past 3yrs and it looks that way this yr 2

  • Comment removed

  • This may be my fav OSU/UM game of all time. A)It came after years of suffering. B)Tressel's comments the previous year. C)It was in Ann Arbor. D)We were supposed to get killed and of course it was a win for the Bucks!

  • Navarre and Walker cost us this game.

  • that was great nice video OH IO

  • The first ohio state touchdown. 2001-Remember him LOOK at the number "28" and look at the name "Wells" RB for osu. 2008- Number "28" name "Wells" RB for osu. Entering the twilight zone.

  • even minnesota was good that year

  • and about the big ten being a mediocre conference its just having some down years but look at it in 05 i think 6 teams went to major bowl games except for michigan 2 went to bcs bowls

  • yea your right there but illinois and wisconsin had better regular seasons then michigan did

  • Get real people: the Big ten is a mediocre conference. Without Michigan and Ohio State, it would downright suck.

  • the spread offenses cant compete with the big tens defenses just look at illinois in 06

  • Yes they can. Just look at Illinois in 2007, Ohio State in 2005 and 2006, penn State in 2005, Purdue when they actually ahd good athletes, or Florida and LSU against Ohio States defense in the title games. God, I'm sick of everybody saying the big bad Big ten defenses are gonig to stop RR's spread offense. its such bullshit

  • What's great about us is that we'll still be able to run at some teams and overpower them if our spread offense isn't clicking on a certain day.

  • Yeah, we can always rely on our runninggame. Apparently RR runs a zone scheme with his O-line, and thats exactly what Michigan has been running the last 2 years. Its not going to be as hard for the o-line to adapt as the doubters think

  • Gee if this is how they adapt I hate to see what it will be like when they dont..LMAO..Not talking all that smack you did before the season are you..LMAO

  • Man, OSU running backs named Wells who wear #28 have been nightmares for Michigan, especially in Ann Arbor.

  • You all make the spread offense sound impossible to defend...well, the same was said 30 years ago when Texas used to run the Wishbone and Nebraska was dominating with their option runs. And now look at both...and defenses caught on to them after awhile.

The same will happen with the spread offenses of Dick Rod

  • "You all make the spread offense sound impossible to defend"

right now, it is. Look at all the success RR had with it at WVU, Clemson, and Tulane. the last three NC's all ran the spread offense. And the last two heismen winnders were spread offense QB's. I'm sure there will come a day when the CF coaches find answers for the spread offense, but that won't be until, like, 2020 or later. In the meantime, RR's spread offense will wok wonders in Ann Arbor. Go Blue!

  • I doubt it will be 2020. Coach Tressel is very smart; he'll find a way to beat it.

You're right, though. It should make M*ch*gan very competitive and make The Game really interesting! GO BUCKS!

  • It took 30 years for CF coaches to figure out how to stop nebraska and texas triple option offenses. I'll bet its going to be awhile before the spread offense is figured out (particularly the spread option offense). Also, tressell hasn't proven yet that he can stop the spread offense. He went down and talked to some SEC coaches about how to stop it, but i'll believe the buckeyes can stop it when i see it

  • Stopped it this year...42-7...Illini..smacked...Penn State only 10 points...

  • Ahhhh....this was therapy....God Bless Tressel and God Bless Buckeye Football

  • What comes around, goes around.

Michigan won 10 out of 12 games vs. Cooper.

Ohio State's won 6 out of 7. The Bucks still have some work to do. GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now that Rich Rodriguez is in and Lloyd Carr is out, the Buckeyes dominance of the Wolverines will end. Go Blue!

  • That is a better joke than saying gas prices are cheap...Go Bucks Screw Blue

  • Here's why I think Michigan will beat Ohio State in 2008:

    1. Rich Rodriguez brings an offense to Ann Arbor that Ohio State is absolutely horrible and pathetic at defending: the spread offense. Illinois, Florida, and LSU all tore the Buckeyes a new asshole by running the spread offense on them, and the Buckeyes defense crumbled like toothpicks each time. RR is the God-father of the spread offense, and he's going to find ways to pick apart the weaknesses in Ohio States overrated defense

  • 2. RR is going to be running the spread offense with a bunch of 4 and 5 star prospects, whereas at WV, he was running it with 2 and 3 star prospects. Considering how well he did at WV with that 2 and 3 star talent, imagine how well he's going to do with all the 4 and 5 star talent he has at Michigan.

  • 3. Because of all the talent RR has to work with, and because Michigan will be running the spread offense against a team that is horrible at running the spread offense, Michigan is guaranteed at least 21 points in next years game (injuries notwithstanding). Ohio State's offense is one dimensional with beanie Wells, who dominated us last year, but despite that fact, the Buckeyes only scored 14 points.

  • They are going to have to score alot more then 14 points to keep up with Michigans offense, and they can't do that, as their passing game with Todd Boeckman sucks, and as Michigan returns 7 of 11 starters on defense.

  • 4. Motivation. Michigan has a chip on their shoulder after losing 4 straighht to the Buckeyes, while Ohio State is going to get complacent after dominating the rivalry for 7 seasons. It looks more and more like 2001 all over again, where the team that is dominating the rivalry assumes they'll continue to dominate, while the team that is being dominated plays their hearts out and earns a huge upset on the road. Ohio State did it in 2001, and its Michigans turn to do so in 2008

  • 5. Intimidation. Tressell is already sweating at the thought of going up against RR, as he proved by criticizing RR's recruiting schemes. Ohio State's players, coaches, and fans know in the bottom of their hearts that they can't stop RR's spread offense, or any spread offense, and they are petrified at the prospect of having to stop his offense

  • intimaidated of what? That spread crap will be taken care of by the time he gets any type of talent there

  • The spread offense, which Ohio State is horrible at defending. Thats what tressell is intimidated by.

  • Not really..He is a smart coach and that is why he has been talking to ppl from the SEC how to defend it.

  • I never said tressell was a bac coach. I think tressell is the best coach in all of college football. But give me a break: Ohio State is horrible at defending the spread offense. that is a fact you cannot argue with, so don't even bother.

  • Yea but we had talent but no coach to teach them how to play..You can not say that about Carr

  • Are you on dream land..lmao.First of all you need talent to run that offense..you have QB or a offensive line. Next Illini beat us once in how many times with that type of offense. Next I will give you the Florida game. But we outgained LSU in the game..mistakes cost us the game..not a excuse just a fact.

  • "First of all you need talent to run that offense..you have QB or a offensive line"

Wrong. We have plenty of talent everywhere on offense. What we lack is experience, especially at QB and the offensive line. But we will have plenty of experience at both positions by the time we play the Buckeyes.

"But we outgained LSU in the game"

I know that, but their offense still toasted your guys supposedly "spectacular" defense

  • Yea you mean the defense that only gave you guys 14 total yards the second half

  • Thats was Lloyd carrs offense. This is RR's spread offense. Its a totally different ball game now.

  • Let see how long that stuuf last in the Big Ten and that QB is in the ground so much...The Big East can not compare to the Big Ten in physical part.

  • Thats what everybody said about Urban Meyers spread offense when he arrived in Gainsville. "Oh, that offense is not going to work against the brutal defenses of the SEC! No fuckin way! Meyer is going to be out in 3 years! The MWC isn't the SEC!"

Well, in year two under Meyer, Florida won the national championship.

    I rest my case.

  • "Illini beat us once in how many times with that type of offense"

Illinois finally had some talent to work with in 2007, and sure enough, they toasted your guys overrated defense. face it, the Buckeyes defense feasts on teams like Akron and Youngstown state, but then they get crushed by teams that are good, and more importantly, teams that run spread offenses

  • That is why you are 1-7 against us ..Not a good team. Illin kind of sounds like scUM for a few years ..took them 4 years to do that..

  • No. We are 1-7 against you guys because Tressell routinely outcoached Lloyd Carr. And oh yeah, that Troy Smith guy was one hell of a football player as well. Lack of talent has NEVER been a problem at michigan, and too suggest otherwise is naive and stupid.

  • So did Troy play this Year???

  • Doesn't matter. You said that Michigan has been losing to Ohio State because of a lack of talwnt, and you are dead wrong. Michigan has been losing to Ohio State for two reasons:

    1. Jim Tressell and his staff have completely outcoached Lloyd Carr and his staff

    2. Troy Smith was the best player in the history of the rivalry. He almost singlehandedly led you guys to the 2004, 2005, and 2006 victories.

  • 2007 was an example of tressell making lloyd carr look like an idiot.

  • 42-7...nice beating we took..

  • god i love when michigan loses to ohio state.

  • This was a great day. Ohio State fired John Cooper the year before and a man named James Patrick Tressel was hired as head coach. It was an odd year (2001) so the Buckeye had to go north for THE GAME. Last time the Buckeyes came back with a victory from up north was 1987. Earle Bruce was our coach. 13 years with only two wins!! I was scared to death to watch this game. But, things worked out. Tressel worked out well for Ohio State.

  • I was at both the basketball game he talked at and this game... total ponage

  • definently my favorite osu win in the last 7 season's tressels been coaching

  • Man, was this a sweet win. And I still want to know why UM hasn't had an appreciation dinner for Cooper - all he did was go 2-10-1 in 13 seasons against them.

  • Who the hell is calling this game?

  • The play-by-play guy is Terry Gannon (member of NC State's 1983 national championship basketball team). The color guy ... no idea.

  • Well...no. Actually OSU was playing Krenzel in his first career start. Had they had time to script more than 16 plays with him they probably would have kept surprising Michigan in the 2nd half too. And Wells got hurt after burning Michigan in the first half. Easily could have been about 46-0 under better circumstances.

  • That was just a shit game. Michigan played much much worse against their underdog rival than OSU did against UMich in the 1995-96 seasons.

  • Awww, how sad that your team gagged. I think I'll shed a tear.

  • Save them for when scUM surprises the sweatervested one this weekend.

  • Are you going come back to eat crow?

  • lol not exactally

  • This may have been my favorite OSU-Michigan game. When thier backup QB watched teh snap go over his head, everyone I was watching the game with busted up laughing. This was the changing of the guard in the greatest rilvary in all of sports.

  • Always got to give credit to a guy who has the balls to call his shot.... and then back it up. GO BUCKS

  • this game was the start for change in Columbus

    GO BUCKS!

  • I love Cooper, u guys don't know what u talk about, coop is da man

  • hell...im a nittany lion, and even I am lovin' this.

  • Yeah cause Michigan kicks your ass every year

  • Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

  • man it sure was nice to be on the other side after all that crap that Coop put us through. GO BUCKS! MUCK FICHIGAN!!!

  • How things have changed. Carr has become Cooper.

  • @lvbuckeye

"man it sure was nice to be on the other side after all that crap that Coop put us through. GO BUCKS! MUCK FICHIGAN!!"

You said that 4 years ago....4 wins ago...still is nice!
