Seems like STS are trying to be way too precise, really trying to emphasize certain notes and accents, all the while trying to maintain a certain flow and direction to the songs, and after a while it becomes predictable and unsatisfying. I enjoyed 'Carving Desert Canyons' more.

I think they have the correct style and potential to unleash an absolute masterpiece in the future, they just need to get it right.

These fine musicians give you the opportunity to create your own scenarios, draw your own understandings and relate the music to any situation you please. Doesn't get much better than that.
