@veruschka85 ich würde sagen dass das immer nur anspielungen waren. schliesslich hat er ja auch seine frau als studentin getroffen..im 4. semester..worauf sie immer wieder anspielen, das die studentin (der er immer trifft) im 4. semester sein und somit doch was laufen könnte, aber es nicht tut..so verstehe ich es zumindestens.

I loved this movie! I would love to have a translation of what they said to each other when Katharina went to Maren's after her birthday party. What did Maren say to her when Katharina started to cry. I have now become a big fan of Charlotte Schwab. What a shame I don't speak German or get German films or tv shows in Canada.

Yes, at the beginning when Katharina and her friend watch Maren dance with K's husband, the friend asks Katharina if she's one of his students and Katharina replies that he likes them younger. It's not stated wether her husband has something going on with any of his students but he sure flirts a lot with them.
its a shame that men feel that they can not compete against women for the affection of another women. i guess since the use of brute force is out of the question they resort to slandering the woman whom they are fighting for.
She didn't look particulary unhappy with him at the beginning of the movie. However, if she had really been happy with him, then she would have been unlikely to fall in love with Maren. I suppose that she's a lesbian who fooled herself into believing in marriage all those years.
