A little Lennon bias huh...There are very few tunes by the boys that I dislike, but I do think "Come Together" and "All You Need is Love" are actually two of their most overrated songs. "Let It Be" however is brilliant. Personally I go for "Don't Let Me Down", "Happiness is a Warm Gun", "For No One" and of course the Abbey Road medley, which is my favorite...
Good video, but Let Be and Hey Jude deserve their popularity, Help! belongs nowhere near the top 10 (I rank it as #17-28, depending on my mood), and where are A Day in the Life and Strawberry Fields Forever? Or Nowhere Man and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, or Here, There, and Everywhere and Blackbird? And, please tell me, where is the song that has been covered nearly three thousand different times, which is to say, do you believe in YESTERDAY?! Its just wrong that thats not up there. Good list.
Hi everyone, I am 15 and i would like to apologize for my generation and the kind of music we have. If everyone just listened to the Beatles and other bands like them than this world would be so much better.
There is not, never was, and never will be a best Beatles song, all anyone can do is pick "their" best ballad, song or whatever, all of the songs made what was/is the Beatles, all of the songs have a place in Beatle history, simply enjoy the ones you like and give all of them a chance, I heard my first Beatle song in 1962 and I have been hooked ever since, saw them live in Nottingham in 1964 and met Sir Paul in Leicester in 1973! SUPERB! I have all of their albums on vinyl and cd!
Nice video, interesting selections. You seem to lean towards the ballads and lively songs. I prefer the more complex arrangements with the meaningful lyrics. My favorite Beatle song is "A day in the life" John Lennon was such a great songwriter and lyricist.
@tommy5959 Interesting. That's the great thing about the Beatles. I could pick 10 Macca tracks to fill that Top Ten. They meant/mean different things to different people. John, Paul and George were/are terrific in their own right, but add in Ringo and you get a synergy that will forever be unbeatable!
I agree with other responders you can't pick "the best"...the only thing you could pick would be their most sophisticated, unique, or artistic, and that's when you're talking about strawberry fields, yesterday, penny lane, something, etc.
Your selection of HELP ! was magnificent !!!!!! I totally agree that it is the best record the Beatles ever made. Those who say otherwise have simply not examined this recording as closely as they need to.
Favorite Beatles Albums 1. Revolver - 2. A Hard Days Night. 3. Magical Mystery Tour 4. Abbey Road 5. Sgt. Pepper 6. With the Beatles 7. the White Album 8. Help! 9. Rubber Soul 10. Beatles for Sale 11. Let It Be 12. Please Please Me I always felt that both Rubber Soul AND the White Album were overrated.
Good list! Of course every Beatles fan will have their own. I would have included Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds in there, Hey Jude would be number two, and I Am the Walrus would be number one. I also would have included at least one song from the Hard Days Night album which, as far as pure composition, I consider one of their best.
The Beatles are always going to be a part of my life. They have formed me as a person and will always be a part of me. I'm 18 and going to get a tattoo of a line from "in my life" :)
@FanOfJanis, I was born in Srilanka,1987.But know who are the beatles. thanks for youtube..You can't achieve 'Love me do' to 'Tomorrow never knows' by 3 years with giving orgasm to screaming girls in the audience. They are one of the miracle on earth and will remembered as Tachovsky,Beathoven,Mozart.
@MelancholyApples I agree. First Beatle post I gave a thumbs down to. This guy doesn't know shit about their music. You are on point. Pointless video. Greatest band from the Quarrymen to the breakup. They are all the best....PERIOD!!!
@vennylos maybe it is you who should get a life other than reading other peoples comment i have a right to do whatever i want with my life and if it is the beatles than so be it but you shouldnt judge me because of it

Shadec1, I wanna say something. Live & Let Die is a Paul McCartney Solo's song :) I'm a real fan of The Beatles I love them, I think all of their musics are n°1.
They all are great songs and if I was to pick out my top ten I would get flack but thanks for sharing that and great to see another person love the Beatles music like I do.
When they hit America, I was age 8 (nearly 9), so I saw their whole career. I cannot pick their 10 best songs. They were ALL their best songs. Some people will argue, but it doesn't matter:
The Beatles were THE BEST band ... period. Nobody was even remotely close. It's actually laughable. They were a once-in-human-history phenomenon. Young ones, you had to ACTUALLY LIVE IT to understand their impact on the world.
Who brought more joy to the world than them? Nobody. Timeless.
@FanOfJanis I am 13, i know i will never fully understand their impact how much of a bigger fan i would have been... thts y i think i was born in the wrong year
@FanOfJanis "Young ones, you had to ACTUALLY LIVE IT to understand their impact on the world.". Please don't insult me. I've dedicated a good portion of my young life to this band and learning all I can about them. I've seen Paul live three times and I cherished every moment. I know the impact they made because my life was changed by them...not to mention the fact that I've practically studied the actual impact they made in the past 5 decades.
In Help Paul and George are both fighting for a look at the camera XD They all look happiest in She Loves You,but in my oppinion they needed more Paul songs.
Nice selection. I like so many of their songs and videos that I'm not sure I could ever get it down to ten, but these would definitely be among them. Great job.
Excellent choices. You captured the Beatles mystique, magic, and mastery of creating a musical mood that will never be duplicated. 500 years from now, they will still be playing these songs.
These are all singles.... Beatles were the first band where their album songs were just as good and usually even better than t singles.
I ilke to think of Beatles singles being like a movie trailer.. er.. album trailer... er.. album ERA trailer.
Why 'album era trailer?' Because, one of the few conventions of the times that they DID follow was that their singles (minus a few rare occasions) were not on their albums.
Back then 'albums' were typically the equivalent of 'extras.'
Continuing from: Back then 'albums' were typically the equivalent of 'extras.'
If you liked a band and their singles and JUST HAD to have more you would buy their album which would be full of song that weren't good enough for the radio. After a few standard albums like this (with covers of popular songs on them as well) they turned the music world upset down and tried making album oriented music.
You know, the sort of album that you could start on track 1 and listen all the way through..
1. Hey Jude 2. Revolution 3. Helter Skelter 4. Happiness Is a Warm Gun 5. Come Together 6. I Am the Walrus 7. Yer Blues 8. Get Back 9. I Should Have Known Better 10. I Got a Feeling Oh no, I left out Two of Us, Hey Bulldog, Strawberry Fields, The End, Rain, I Want You (She's So Heavy), ....
But if I was forced to pick only 10 they would be "I saw her standing there" "You can't do that" "I feel fine" "If I fell" "No reply" "We can work it out" "I should have known better" "Twist n shout" "Day tripper" "Yesterday"

1.And I Love Her 2. I'm Only Sleeping 3.A Day in the Life 4.Strawberry Fields Forever 5.Getting Better 6.I Am the Walrus 7.In My Life 8.Fixing a Hole 9.Paperback Writer 10.Yesterday
1. Strawberry Fields Forever. 2. Because. 3. A day in a Life. 4. With a Little Help From my Friends. 5. Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite. 6. Come Together. 7. Revolution. 8. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club. 9. Yesterday. 10. Let it be.
Yes, absolutely Pepper biased but I think it's by far their best work.
1.Something. 2.Come Together. 3.She Loves You. 4. Nowhere Man. 5.Get Back. 6.Here Comes The Sun. 7. Help. 8. While My Guitar Gently Weeps. 9. Long and Winding Road. 10. Penny Lane
well i think it should go 1.across the universe 2.let it be 3.strawberry fields forever 4.revolution 5.come together 6. with a little help from my friends 7. help
8. hey bulldog 9. come together 10.i am the walrus
1. I Am The Walrus 2. Revolution 3. And I Love Her 4. Obla Di Obla Da 5. A Hard Day's Night 6. Come Together 7. Here Comes The Sun 8. Help! 9. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. 10. All You Need Is Love ... This was really hard to do. 6.
best ten beatle song are 10 hey jude 9 come together 8 i feel fine 7 day tripper 6 she loves you 5 ticket to ride 4 revolution 3 while my guitar gently weeps 2 help 1= i want to hold your hand oh and e=mcsquare
As Brian Clough used to say 'good lad'. Help= No. 1! brillig
Starkey was NEVER gear. Couldn't play drums proper (George Martin 1962) But everyone felt sorry for the little Rory Storm reject. Then he turned on the fans on HERE at Googletube. Told anyone that writes him will get ltheir letters burnt.
Ungrateful little no-mark with a big nose and NO voice or drumming ability. Starkey is NOT a beatle. Andy White and Pete Best (the original drums) were.
@philmontee I totally agree with you. Actually there are almost 10 songs I prefer to the others but I can't tell which one is my favorite of all times! Impossible!
@philmontee Good reply and quite Zen if I may say so. For me Here comes the sun, While my guitar gently weeps, Something, Let it be, Good morning, The end, Come together, A day in life of and ....uh it is hard indeed...and Hotel California..oh no that's another group:)
Your list is OK. "Hey Jude" and "Let it be" was overrated. Very conventional and without excitement. You get soon bored of them. Lennon´s songs: the older, the better. I would add "I Should Have Known Better - the best middle part ever - "Across the "Universe", the first recording from 1968, the best music since Wagner, "Do you want to know a secret? and "Please Pleae Me".
RIP john ur the best

1. Strawberry Fields Forever. 2. Because. 3. A day in a Life. 4. With a Little Help From my Friends. 5. Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite. 6. Come Together. 7. Revolution. 8. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club. 9. Yesterday. 10. Let it be.
Yes, absolutely Pepper biased but I think it's by far their best work.

Good list, but you could have put just about any ten songs and you probably wouldn't have gotten an argument from me....

Tory party is double dipper scum - agreed!

@philmontee I totally agree with you. Actually there are almost 10 songs I prefer to the others but I can't tell which one is my favorite of all times! Impossible!
I'm sorry for my English, I'm a frenchie! =3
Cereza5519 4 months ago
@philmontee Good reply and quite Zen if I may say so. For me Here comes the sun, While my guitar gently weeps, Something, Let it be, Good morning, The end, Come together, A day in life of and ....uh it is hard indeed...and Hotel California..oh no that's another group:)

ringo looks a little disappointed in "help" when he gets to sit in the back with an umbrella!
sebsta97 4 months ago
Your list is OK. "Hey Jude" and "Let it be" was overrated. Very conventional and without excitement. You get soon bored of them. Lennon´s songs: the older, the better. I would add "I Should Have Known Better - the best middle part ever - "Across the "Universe", the first recording from 1968, the best music since Wagner, "Do you want to know a secret? and "Please Pleae Me".
