Then Article II Sect 1 (Natural Born Citizen) makes sense that it means born in the US.
Because the requirements for Senator and Representative allow for Naturalized citizen to run for those offices as long as they have been a citizen for the specified time period and a resident of the state they are running for at the time they are elected.
I say if the Founders meant Natural Born Citizen to mean anything else, they would've specified that in the Constitution.

The COLB from Hawaii, is in fact, a valid birth certificate. The Hawaii Dept of Health no longer issues "long form". If you're from Hawaii and you apply for a copy of your bc, the colb is what they give you.

It is a known fact that the the "Certification of live birth" on the internet (look at Wikipedia) is a valid and genuine birth certificate and the only one available since Hawaii went electronic in 2001. Nobody was doubting his B/C before he put it on his own site in 2007. It is dated 2007 on the reverse with an embossed seal.
Perhaps he had on old B/C from 1961 which he could have used, but he chose to use an OFFICIAL new one to avoid being accused of having faked the old.
The Hawaii Dept of Health has stated publicly that they do not issue long form anymore and that the current COLB is in fact a valid birth certificate recognized by the US Supreme Court.

He was born in Hawaii. The COLB that he provided is State issued, Certified and legally sufficient for him to get on the ballot to begin with.
The Hawaii Dept of Health has stated public multiple times that the COLB they issue is in fact a valid birth certificate that is recognized by the US Supreme Court as meeting all Federal and other requirements.

When everything else fails, and everything HAS failed, then you can always say: "He is not a natural born citizen". His father was born in Kenya and he has to have TWO American parents to qualify as "natural born", right?
Not so. This clause has been evaluated by the Supreme Court on several occasions and the result has always been the same: "Natural born citizen" means exactly the same as "American citizen".
It is not "defined" in the Constitution because there was no need to do so.

If you look at the requirements to be a US Senator:
Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution:
at least 30 years old, a U.S. citizen for at least nine years at the time of election to the Senate, a resident of the state one is elected to represent in the Senate.

I think it has been realized that the Founding Fathers took a well established term from British Law theory from the 18th Century: "natural born subject", which refers to the principle of "soil" and changed the word "subject" to "citizen". That was because they now had a Republic, not a Kingdom.
In France and in Europe that could be different. In France you got the citizenship of your parents or your father.
Americans followed the British tradition on this point.

In order to do so back then, one had to petition the Court to be placed on the list. That is why it is recorded as "Court ordered". The state law was changed in 1999 so that attorneys no longer had to petition the court. Not only has this been confirmed repeatedly by credible news sources, the World Net Daily (hardly big fans of the Obamas) has confirmed it as well.

The COLB from Hawaii, is in fact, a valid birth certificate. The Hawaii Dept of Health no longer issues "long form". If you're from Hawaii and you apply for a copy of your bc, the colb is what they give you.
Mine is identical to Obama's. Its been legally adequate for any situation that required I show a valid birth certificate.

It is a known fact that the the "Certification of live birth" on the internet (look at Wikipedia) is a valid and genuine birth certificate and the only one available since Hawaii went electronic in 2001. Nobody was doubting his B/C before he put it on his own site in 2007. It is dated 2007 on the reverse with an embossed seal.
Perhaps he had on old B/C from 1961 which he could have used, but he chose to use an OFFICIAL new one to avoid being accused of having faked the old.

The Hawaii Dept of Health has stated publicly that they do not issue long form anymore and that the current COLB is in fact a valid birth certificate recognized by the US Supreme Court.
He may have lost the original. He may have it, who knows.
What we do know is that what he provided is in fact a State issued, Certified document that was legally sufficient for him to get on the ballot in the first place.

Have you read the 30 pages of ruling by Judge Carter in the lawsuit "Barnett vs. Obama" on October 29, when he threw Orly Taitz and Company out of court and decided that there would be no January 26, 2010 hearing? It has been all over the internet, and even "Mia" will easily find it.

He was kind enough not to give her a fine, but his ruling, just as the one in Georgia, was devastating.

@rollex5 No, you can check an interview in Jan on MSNBC with Orly Taitz and you will hear that Carter did not dismiss the case on 1/26th. That was also on the internet and I gave that info in another vid. There was no mention of it after that date. Someone ordered it to be silenced. If this case was dismissed 1/26th than there should be documentation and there's not. You can also check with Tomken8dy who did extensive research on this.

No, Joy. I didn't get all my info from Manning. I do know that he only has a Kenyan birth certificate. The lawyer from Philly had a lot of relevant info relating to why his name was changed to Barry Soetoro. Actually, the birth announcements appeared in two different newspapers. The Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu StarBulletin.
One on Aug 13, the other on Aug 14, 1961.
Obama was born Aug 4.

The certificate you got, is not a birth certificate. You can't apply for a passport using that document. It is not a proof of identity, as specified by the Hawaain law. Have a nice day, Obat. I have a short form legal COLB too.....but it's not a birth certificate!

Its been legally sufficient for any situation that required I produce a valid birth certificate.
I've never been told that it was inadequate or that I needed to supply any supplemental info.
This includes using it to get security clearance at several military bases in Hawaii as a civilian contractor.
At the bottom of mine (just like Obama's) is the statement:
"This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding [HRS 338-13(b), 338-19]"

He was born in Kenya and that birth certificate has a seal of authenticity with a Dr.'s signature, his mom and dad's signature and the hospital. His grandmother attests to Obama being born in Kenya as well. He moved to Indonesia with his mom and when when married, his name was changed to Barry Soetoro. Indonesia didn't have dual citizenship then. Case closed. He's not eligible.

He was born in Hawaii. The COLB that he provided is State issued, Certified and legally sufficient for him to get on the ballot to begin with.
The Hawaii Dept of Health has stated public multiple times that the COLB they issue is in fact a valid birth certificate that is recognized by the US Supreme Court as meeting all Federal and other requirements.
He already proved his eligibility.
