They did because everything was so fucking expensive like water was $5 a slice of pizza was $8 and it was over 100 degrees outside. After three days of this they all went insane. In the woodstock in 1969 there was at least rain and everyone got high so they weren't pissed also they got in for free instead of paying 150 dollars.

It was not possible to live there for 3 days. You were not permitted to properly prepare youself for a 3 day camping trip. So in addition to the price of admission, you had to bring hundreds of dollars to eat and drink because basic essentials were not only price gouged, and scarce.

I'm not saying it's okay to have a riot over this, the patrons were unfairly treated

They wouldn't let anyone in without the ticket which was $150 per ticket, the people weren't allowed to bring food or water in with them. The price for water, a regular water bottle, was $4.00. Yeah that concertgoers could have handled it better, but then again it was a bad move by the promoters trying to make a major profit at this concert, when it should have been about "peace love and music"
