    Really impressive! I have gone through the same experience during 3 months meditation program. It was exactly like that. We we're not killing them, but still, they multiplied in the front of our eyes.

Not exactly the most tolerant of christians but i still meditate even tho its found more in bhuddism and other religions. All this does is help and promote peace o mind body spirit and even world(like christianity bhuddism even islam). Atheists say they want peace for all but then they attack religions that want the same

    Uh... That is absolutely, one-hundred percent false. Your secular skepticism is ill-placed in this matter.

    Meditation has been proven to have profound affects on the mind and body. It repairs certain cells, induces a state of no-thought and bliss in practiced individuals, reduces stress and anxiety, spikes alpha waves in the brain.

    You're literally horribly wrong, and you'd know that if you researched it for 5 minutes.

  • Dont just watch something on youtube and start believing in it. Sure meditiation is good... but has no prominent effect on mind, health or any other aspect of human health. There is no scientific proof of whether meditation is productive or not. And simple logic - no successful person ever practiced it, unless they were just peace lover and believed to waste their life sitting at one place and finding their individuality by separating from societal responsibilities.

    The question you need to ask yourself is "who is observing these thoughts"? THAT is your true nature. The mind and body are merely tools our consciousness uses for this existence, but they do not define our spirit. Our life force. Our being.

    How many times were you successful in shutting the endless thought and become an observer?

    I was only successful twice, for a brief moment of satori or whatever people might call it. one that lasted a minute, and another that lasted for 5 minutes.  Boy, so joyful, cease of thought, yet the clearest awareness. But cannot duplicate it, and it has been 7 years...

  • @gatsbi007 Dont try to duplicate an experience. You're probably trying too hard. You're always the observer of thoughts. Theres not a time when you're not or else you wouldnt be able to talk about them. All thoughts report to you. The only thing is you probably give them too much power and attention. Dont try to resist thoughts bc like in this video that will only fuel the fire. Just be still and surrender to the moment, no matter how turbulent the mind is. It will quiet. Nothing can touch you.

  • Wow. I love this video. The funniest part is this is quite literally my life lately.

    We've been doing battle with flies at work this past week and I am pretty much the best fly killer...but more keep coming every day. I've also been working on meditation lately and developing qi through a combination of meditation, kung fu and t'ai chi...message received...less killing; more thinking outside the box!

  • Its me again, megajoel12, sharing what happened to me yesterday, I had an invitation that said aug. 24th, I traveled from Brooklyn to New Jersey, and...the party was already on the 21st. I decided not to get mad nor discouraged. It is a matter of perception, I could have thougth they did it on purpose or some other unhealthy thought...I chose to be happy!

  • Meditation really should be taught in schools at a young age. Its just as important as any class because you are learning to master your mind which only helps you in every way possible.

    There is no downside to meditation, and as a person who has had bouts with depression and anxiety the power meditation has given me I cant put into words. No happy pills or drug can have the same affect.

    Theres nothing like the feeling of being in a calm, relaxed state of mind with control over your thoughts.

  • @BIGBOSSTEDDY Then do it. :) Sit down, cross legged, and bring your awareness to your breathe. Every time a thought arises stop the thought with ease and bring your awareness back to your breathe. Start meditating 20 minutes or so at a time, and then move up to 30, and then 40, and continue for as long as you want. It may be very difficult or annoying at first, but it WILL become easier!! :D

  • @Grandstar5 Ooopps.. Sorry.. "Allow" the thought and bring your awareness back to the breath. The whole point of the video is the mind. The mind is not part of meditating. Stop and resistance and judgment are not part of meditating. Meditation is about allowing. As the mind quiets from the discipline of the daily experience, one is introduced toward Unconditional Love, i.e., a complete state of allowing. Beyond the mind, beyond resistance lies a world of synchronicity, harmony and order. Namasté

  • yea man,all the flys are youre problems and worries init,there all still there all the while,but you can switch em off for a bit.....and they aint so bad when ya get back...also you can stay calm through adversity and all that init,...obvious to many,but not all...,(a response to an earlier comment.)....in any event,we see what we each of us see........some need a little help to open the door.
