1. Most Tibetans dont speak Tibetan. Tibetan Script is very different and perhaps more sophisticated than chinese script.

i surfed many chinese websites, found 2 tibetan governmental notices, 1: anyone who wants to work in the government must proof his tibetan by submitting tibetan diploma. 2: is a notice for high school entrance examination, there were 7 final exams, including tibetan.
it is clear that tibetan is taught in schools, and it is an important language if you want to live/work in tibet.
if you can't speak tibetan, u should ask urself why didn't spend time on it when it is taught for free.

Many Zangzu Chinese are born outside Xizang in other parts of China, many Han Chinese are born in Xizang, both Han and Zangzu intermarried with different ethnic groups.
