I like this very much and wonder if the orchestra is that of Ed Kirkeby or an ARC studio band, say a Sam Lanin group? Both were given the Ed Loyd pseudonym.

@pax41 I can't find this specific record in Rust - he didn't attempt to list all Ed

L(L)oyd recordings, just noted that most records labelled with either spelling were by Ted Wallace and his Orchestra or the ARC-Brunswick studio bands. (Ted Wallace was another pseudonym for Ed Kirkeby.) What a bundle of fish hooks poor old Brian Rust tried to untangle! I'd like to think it was Ed K. - it has such a beautiful polished quality.

Wow, what a beautiful song! It is true that this Helen Ward sounds completely different that the one of her Goodman's days. I would like to see the movie too.
