This is city fixed gear in traffic to perfection, it's intense, involves calculated risk and a total buzz. Is it dangerous ? Statistically your more likely to be killed as a pedestrian - you decide, just don't call me an asshole or irresponsible if I choose to ride this way.

Do recommend a front brake though! Always good to have a little bit extra on your side.

I have to laugh at all the people calling this wreck-less or calling bikers assholes. The weaving in and out of traffic is done with cars are stopped or super slow moving. What's wreck-less about that? Nothing at all, there are people who get paid to ride like this in major cities everyday, they are call bike couriers. Stop bitching about other people, how they ride isn't hurting anyone. More people should ride bikes anyway, would be less fat asses out there and cheaper oil prices for cars.

@SkittlesEarth You can stop your feet on a fixed gear - it just results in skidding. Obviously if you're not clipped in and you're going fast enough it'll break your legs, but it's easy enough to stop your back wheel and skid.

@GuttedAtBirth You will need some strong rims, dont go with anything less then 32 spokes, ultralight is not for you, after riding for a while you will loose wieght and you can go a bit lighter. I would stick to a good steel frame not aluminum.
