But then in "the start" of 2009 there's five million more people than the previous year. Soooooo... what year did those people apply for food stamps? 2008 or 2009? I'm no fan of Bush, but 11 million from 2001 to 2008 versus 13 million from 09 to 11 is a huge difference, even if the percentages are smaller, it's only for part of term versus 2 bush terms, and it takes more to move that percentage due to the larger initial value.

ok, so I'm not a fan of Republicans either, but notice the 5 million person gap in the CNN percentage clip. They show 2001 to 2008. But then in "the start" of 2009 there's five million more people than the previous year. Soooooo... what year did those people apply for food stamps? 2008 or 2009? It make a difference in the percentage.

@loafmasta87 Those are aggregates. There's nothing about "the start" of 2009, as you put it. There's the '01-'08 stat and the '09 to '11 stat. The additional 5 million applied in 2009. I'm not understanding why you're confused. What, exactly, are you trying to ask?

If food stamp recipients numbered 28 million one year then 33 million the next that's obviously an increase. Where you count that 5 million affects the percentage they're showcasing. If in fact there were 33 mil in 09 when he took office, then the 08 stats is off.

His violent behaviour made him leave the military and his violent rhetoric when campaigning against his opponent for the congressional seat was also questionable. He also used very abusive and threatening language towards a congresswoman almost challenging her to fight him not so long ago. Okay the food stamp thing is retarded. I'm no fan of Bush, but 11 million from 2001 to 2008 versus 13 million from 09 to 11 is a huge difference, even if the percentages are smaller, it's only for part of term versus 2 bush terms, and it takes more to move that percentage due to the larger initial value.
