Cave Story should have been 1st, and I Wanna Be The Guy in 2nd, only because Cave Story has all the elements a good game should have (fantastic storyline, great gameplay, etc.)

@atmmachine11 should be safe i re-downloaded it from there a while ago and checked the files with a few anti-viruses and it was safe. sorry i took so long to respond.

MUGEN should be higher, there is TONS of stuff to do on mugen, and not all of it is man to man fighting. Problem is, you have to customize mugen a lot and it takes TONS of memory

@kite10122 i disagree. it is pretty freaking hard but the reason i put it as 1st is because it has many references to well-known games. its a really freestyle platform game and requires a lot of strategy and timing, which a lot of gamers like. i mean its better than a game that you can breeze through right?

@kite10122 it's one of the best freeware games I've played. It's hard, but it was very well thought out. It has minimal glitches, and has truly wonderful references to other games. it keeps you on your toes with surprise deaths, but not so much so that you expect it. It is also a very popular game with MANY fangames. Why wouldn't it deserve recognition? what makes it so terrible? Because you can't beat it?

@raptordave You can download charactes then balance them as u see fit with there config file. the balance in mugen is 100% up to u.

toribash is a great game, don't get me wrong cause i didn't put it on the list. i just think it focuses too much on fighting with other players and sometimes you have to wait a really long time for a fight, but i would definitely put it on the top 10.
