I really wish Mandy Moore would come back. She was the best Aerith, IMO. Mena Suvari didn't put enough emotion into the character, and she made her voice sound strange when she was playing Aerith--if she had talked more normally, I think she would've sounded better. And Andrea Bowen just sounds ANNOYING. So, Mandy Moore, please!!!!

What the ... Ummm ok. I must have a different FF7 game. In my one, Aerith is a flirt! Asking Cloud if Tifa's "a girlfriend" "And Cloud?...goodnight!" "How about I go out with you if you be my bodyguard?" etc etc. When they get to the Gold Saucer Aerith is the one in the group to say "Let's have some fun!" and has a go at Barrett for not letting loose. To say Aerith is incapable of feeling happy is as true as the moon being made of cheese! She is probably the least emo of them all!

Well, in case you're worried, Mandy Moore is voicing Rapunzel in Tangled. So in case that movie shows up in a future Kingdom Hearts installment, we might get Mandy Moore coming back and doing both roles. Now some people would argue that she wouldn't do this, but if Kathryn Beaumont came back to do both Alice AND Wendy in the original Kingdom Hearts, I don't see why that should be any different.

Very poor voice acting imo. Of course they'd be pouring money out the yin yang if they rehired the ENTIRE original voice cast from KE1. The most important thing is that they rehired the main characters like Sora, Kairi, Rikku, ect.

I'm not even going to try to compare her voice in this to her voice in Crisis Core. Although, Zack was alive then, so maybe that's why she sounded more alive...

A lot of people might disagree with this, but I don't think that Aeris, or rather Aerith as she is called should be here. I get that they were trying to work her into Cloud's story, but she could have played her role just as well as a memory. Her role was played out very well in FFVII. Some of the weight of the conclusion of that role is removed by seeing her here.

I know some people don't care about the voice acting at all, but what bothered me most is that the believability of the game tanks whenever you'd hear Aerith speak. If it weren't for that, I think I could care less.

Just imagine a movie with a cast of great actors with one terrible exception. Reality suddenly kicks in to tell you that what you're watching is fake every time that character makes an appearance and the experience is ruined.

God. Emotionless, monotone, both in the game and this interview. She has the voice tone for aerith that's about it. Everything else was botched about her. All the other actors in the game came together to form a beautiful piece of work. She was the only one in the mix that didn't fulfill that role.

I like all 3 Aeris actresses. I know Mena's acting in KH2 at first was bad. Raspy voice and emotionless but later on her acting was getting better. In Advent Children of course she was pure awesomeness! Exactly the way Aeris should be done. If she were to voice Aeris in Crisis Core instead of Andrea Bowen then I'd have no doubt she'd be really amazing after her performance in Advent Children.
