hey, are those larger l/r (white and red) stereo cables that you used to plug it into your speakers? ive only plugged my boxx into my guitar amp (mono) but i wanted to use it on my speakers as well. thanks
Yooooo! ZOOM beats in the Philly house! I get all brands of phat joints out of my ZOOM kit. You can hit it, track it, and whack through a synth (like my Electribe). For just two bills -- like Benjamin Franklin -- the big man in Philly; I saved a lot a earned pennies passing on the two grand big name bling and for just a couple a hundred I got the real thing: ZOOM! Yooooo! Shout Out! Your beats is best!
Oh, I forgot to mention something to you. In the start of your vid I noticed something you did. You don't have to play the hi-hat in the way you did. You can use the "repeat" bar with the quantize set to 16 and you'll get the exact same hi-hat as you played manually. Using that repeat bar will also help extend the life of the pads too. Great vids by the way.
I just got this thing yesterday. Hands down the best groove box for under $180 PERIOD. There's nothing out there in this price range that even compares to the SB-246. This type of drum machine is great because you have to use your OWN skills to make beats as it does not sample. Tweeking the kits is easy and leads to some nice sounding tracks. Well worth every penny spent. THIS IS NOT AN MPC so don't compare it to one as they're two totally different machines.
I'm going to try and get some vids up of mine. I've been pulling beats left and right out of this little box. Some of the sounds have a bit of "cheese" to them, but they can be edited. I have to say the only thing the machine is missing is an external storage medium. It would be nice to have a USB port or at least an SD card slot to save data.
This machine is amazing. I am an animator and music producer and I make all my beats for my animation songs with this. My beat site is superhotbeats(DOT)com
My animations at grnb(DOT)tv and dumb(DOT)com/saltandpepper
I agree with you.I've got this machine and I'm amazed with what it can do.Currently this is the smallest groovebox kinda machine out there that runs on some batteries(Forget about Yamaha QYs they are not really catered for dance music). With some clever layouts of sounds on those pads you can make pretty impressive sounding tune just on this.roswell doesn't know what a fuck he's on about.Nice powerful sounding demo of one of my favorite gear!.
Yeah they look good and they are cool gears very handy but you just get bored with them quick.I had QY10,20,22 and 70 in the past. They sound too clean and ordinary for my liking.I had 246 for over a year now and I've still got it and I'm still using it.btw sounds that it has got in it are also perfect for electro, house and techno.Good luck with your stuff man.
oh you suck!!!! - as much as your LITTLE PLASTIC TOY.... you wanna fly with eagles then STOP WALKING WITH THE CHICKENS... save some more money a get a real drum machine... because that will either cripple your hands or if you press it to hard it gon' break in two,,, lol!!!!!

So is this hooked up to your computer and speakers?
Does it require programming?
Also can this be compared to a Trigger Finger?
Sorry I am a "noob" at this kind of stuff, but I think it's really cool!

its just hooke up to speakers
i guess
