donorleone, yeah, and a listen to Gilmour's and Wright's solo albums from 1977-8 show sadly how necessary Waters' tyranny was for the band's quality control. I adore Gilmour and Wright's work with 70s Floyd but somewhere their songwriting went off - their solo albums have no bite at all. That blandness is also the defining feature of the post-Waters Floyd. I can actually sympathise with Waters' irritation with the others if they were wanting to put those solo album songs onto Floyd albums.
I've always wondered why the Floyd have never officially released any live recordings of the period between 1973 and 1979. The Wall Live was recorded professionally and released on CD, but nothing else from the post Dark Side Of The Moon, Waters Era Floyd. I'm sure stuff must exist, as some of their concerts were broadcased on the radio at the time.
the voices sound is bad because the quality of the video is poor. inspiration in a live concert you can feel only in the moment of the play in the place. sorry... my english is so bad. im from argentina. bye
In 1977, Snowy White was on second guitar and they used the pig shirts and Gilmour looked like Christ on mainly the European legs and then for the US leg of the 1977 tour, Gilmour was clean shaven. This was the proto version of Parts 6-9 from April, 1975.
They started playing Animals in 75 during WYWH tour. Prototype of Dogs was called You Gotta be Crazy and the prototype of Sheep - Raving and Drooling.
Pink Floyd is my all-time favorite band, but I think they sound like shit here (at least vocally). Doesn't anyone else agree with me? This must not have been one of their better nights.
Also, Waters was wearing earphones on stage in 1977. He wasn't here and furthermore, PF retired the old square microphones for the normal microphones everyone uses these days.

'75 tour was Floyd at their peak live prowess.
-DSOTM live
-Raving and Drooling
-You Gotta Be Crazy
-The Arnold Layne tribute at the end of this clip which they did every show.
-Great early versions of SOYCD and a heavy HAC.
Always been the the bootlegs that I have sought out.

I was at this concert in LA, and some girl OD'd right next to me. This was the begining of fans being checked for drugs at the door.

sorry masterzimny, I'm not a pink floyd expert, guess those t-shirts were on the wish you were days if you say 75?

Well, in dvd said 1975, april..But I can't confirm this information
cacaroq 4 years ago
it's 1975 because by that time Roger is playing his jet black bass, and they would be wearing pig shirts, hope that gives closure to the question
