this is the 29mm graupner drive with 700sc brushed motor? how does that motor like 16 cells as far as heat?, what is your esc rated for? mine says its good for 16 cels but that is the max
it runs well on 16 cells if you cool the can and brushes. Probably have 10hrs on the motor, still runs great The rest of your questions are answered in the credits of the movie ;)
They are IB 3600 cells. Just search for em, they'll show up. GP is also an excellent company. I had to make the packs myself, it's not too hard, just need a soldering iron, wires, battery bars and plugs. Total cost for my two 8 cell packs = $120, but they're the best you can buy.
well, let's see the jet unit is $68, esc ~$70, motor~$70, so $200, give or take. If you look at my other videos, you can see the whole process of performance gains/losses of different configurations, including making a single surface drive villain.
oh yeah, at first I had just seen the sail boats and such, you had that wicked fast villain. get that thing out, I'd love to race you some time. Assuming you're close to NY(upstate)
Built it basically from scratch, unless you count the villain hull, but theres probably only about 70% of that hull on it anymore :) check out my build thread, it's very long, but well documented and shows each stage of build. Stupid you tunes rules, cant post link. search google for "RCU jet-villain" the thread is the first hit.
